Very roomy, quiet, and fabulous views
We loved our stay at McKay lodge. It is only a few minutes south of Revelstoke resort. It is very quiet with phenomenal views of the river and surrounding mountains. The house is much larger than the pictures show. We had 4 couples and a few kids and we had plenty of space. There is an attached 2 garage for use that fit 2 full size suburbans with lots of room for ski equipment. The kitchen, dining room, and living room flow well together. The kitchen was well stocked. The hot tub was great and is covered on the deck so you get to be outside but not in the snow while sitting in the tub. Our kids loved playing in the yard and did some sledding/tobogganing and even skied on some of the berms.
We had a minor maintenance issue for which we contacted the manager and someone was on the premises within the hour and the problem was fully solved the next day. Thank you.
We do a family ski trip every year and this is one of the nicest homes we have ever stayed in.
Wonderful property and beautiful home
Jamie was a great host- she was accommodating and responded quickly to questions and requests. Would stay here again!
Stunning views an ideal location for a ski trip
Would highly recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in Revelstoke. Had a fantastic time here with a group of friends on a recent ski trip all of us very eager to go back.
It was great and we had lots of snow.
We would stay here again for sure, it's a great spot
Amazing house, very well equipped, beautiful property
Clean, very well equipped with dishes, towels, bedding etc. Amazing views. Very easy 10 minute drive to ski hill. Hot tub was great. BBQ wasn't working but homeowner replaced it right away. Would definitely stay here again.
Large Home with Beautiful Views!
I had booked this large home for guests that were going to my daughters wedding at a property close by. The house was nice and large and very well laid out. The views were stunning and the deck nice and big. We all loved how comfortable the beds were as well.
A few comments I have that I hope are received with the intent they are being delivered.
1. While the views were beautiful, it was hard to see out of the windows as they are very dirty
2. The floors of the house need a good cleaning and the rug could use a shampoo
3. I spent the first hour in the house washing counters and sinks as there was left over food on both.
4. No attempt at yard work or weeding has been made - there is a LARGE wasp nest under the deck so we really did not get to spend any time on it.
Overall, I would strongly recommend that a good cleaning company go through the house and bring it up to the level of what is being charged per night. Based on the state of the house was I am bringing down my overall rating which is a shame as the house and property are beautiful with a ton of potential.
