About the property

2 BD/1 BA Flat. Walk everywhere.

My 800 square-foot condo is part of a 4-unit building in downtown Palo Alto. It's cozy, tastefully decorated, and full of light. One bedroom has a queen bed and the second a day bed that can be used as one or two twin beds or a full size bed.

There is high speed wifi internet and a large tv with cable, including HBO. Keurig coffee maker and washer/dryer are some of the comforts of home that are available.

Clean towels will be provided and both beds will be made up with fresh linens.

My home is in an area with lots of restaurants and a few bars, but it is unusual to hear any noise from people on the street. You can sometimes hear Caltrain, but it is not bothersome and the transportation option close by is a huge benefit.

Parking available in a detached garage for one car and a tandem space for a second car.

Please note that a 14% charge will be added for all stays less than 30 days to cover the Palo Alto Transient Occupancy Tax.

Why Laurie Gagne chose Menlo Park

I remodeled this condo in 2014 with the intention of living there for a long time. Then I took a job in Berkeley, which was causing me to spend 3 hours commuting everyday. I tried it for a few months, but it was too hard. I moved to San Francisco and I love it, but I still miss this great spot in Palo Alto. The location can't be beat.

Perfect location & perfect accomodations

This 2BR apartment was just perfect for my brother and me while we were in town to visit our cousin. Each night we walked to fabulous restaurants even though we had a rental car. There is even a Whole Foods just a couple of blocks away which was very handy for snacks and small meals to prep in the fully loaded kitchen. As for that rental car - no parking problem - we had our own GARAGE and opener. The neighborhood is quiet and we always felt safe. No doubts - we will use this location again! And big thanks to Laurie for her personal touch to ensure we had everything we needed.

A wonderful experience

We had a wonderful experience staying at Laurie's home in Palo Alto. My wife, daughter and I were in town for a conference at Stanford and the location of the place was perfect-- I could walk to the conference center in the day and then in the evenings we could all walk to hundreds of restaurants in downtown Palo Alto. It is also convenient to parks and shops in downtown Palo Alto which my wife and daughter liked during the day. The home is clean, modern (with an updated kitchen) and comfortable. Laurie was a delight to work with and went out of her way to make the stay exceptional for us. Highly recommended.

Wonderful place in the heart of Palo Alto

We stayed in the apartment with our four month old daughter and could have imagined a better place. It is clean and quiet, has a well-equipped kitchen, and is located in a safe residential area. University Avenue with shops and restaurants is just two minutes away. The train station, a WholeFoods, many restaurants and the campus of Stanford University are all within walking distance. Perfect!

Best place you can find in Palo Alto

The house has all the necessary essentials that makes the stay extremely pleasant. The host is patient, knowledge and thought of everything a guest will need. We thoroughly appreciate it.

The location has to be the best for Palo Alto (or South Bay). Being two blocks away from Caltrain, we rode to San Francisco several times during the day and came home for dinner. University Avenue is one block away with some of the best restaurants and fun shops. Surprisingly with all the activities and excitement, the house is very quiet and has a strong neighborhood feel to it.

Very much recommend this unit to anyone. Thumbs up!!
