Renovated 1918 Log Cabin conveniently located within 15 minutes of either Hendersonville or minutes of the Biltmore House, the Blue Ridge Parkway and eclectic downtown Asheville. Although it is close-in, you feel you are miles away from everything. Central heat and air, a wood burning fireplace, screened in front porch and deck for outdoor dining. The cabin feels very private and yet is near restaurants, an urgent care center, and the airport. The cabin is old and renovated, however, do not expect this to be on Hilton Hotel standards. It is clean but not spotless. There is a water feature in the front and a creek along the back property line with lovely mature evergreens and Japanese maples in the yard. All amenities are included. Please note the nightly price reflected in the listing changes depending on the day of the week and time of the year. lower and sometimes higher.

About Lynda Rerych
I am an independent insurance broker who is semi-retired. I moved to Asheville in 1985 from Florida and have explored a lot of WNC. I love to travel and welcome young and old to this sweet cabin.
Lynda Rerych purchased this Cabin in 2012
Why Lynda Rerych chose Arden
Although the cabin is not in the 'heart of Asheville or Hendersonville', you have the best of both worlds where it is located. I know when I moved to the area initially, I wanted to live in a log cabin in the mountains. This is pretty close to that realization without the inconvenience of being remote.
What makes this Cabin unique
A cozy fireplace; wonderful evergreens; privacy; close in.

Cozy quaint cabin
Everything you need for rest & relaxation! Also in close proximity to tourist attractions!
Nice screened in front porch and side deck for grilling. Just pack a bag and go.....everything you need is already provided. Lynda accommodated us very last minute and made checking in and out very easy. I will definitely check availability on our next visit to the Asheville area!
Nice but a few disappointments
The inside of the cabin was very nice, charming and clean. The outside was very pretty also but didn't realize the main road to the cabin was right at the entrance. If you plan on staying inside it shouldn't bother you but as for myself and my company we spent most of our time on the screened in porch. Not as peaceful in the morning and evening especially when people are coming and going to work. Just thought a mention of that should be put in the add as we were looking for a very tranquil and peaceful experience and the pictures didn't show how close the road was. The grill was dirty and rusty so we didn't use it which was disappointing as we wanted to cook outside. Other than that it was a very nice stay and the owner was very nice and accommodating.
I appreciate the input. I will review the pictures and will try to get a ph check to from the road, but because it sits back and down from the road, I think I am only going to get the roofline and the trees between it and the camera.
Great getaway. Cabin was cozy and well equipped. Easy access to major highways.
Short trip to visit Biltmore and this cabin was a perfect location. While an old home we lacked for nothing, and found our stay comfortable and the cabin charming. Loved all the interesting plants surrounding the cabin and the water feature was relaxing!
I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay. Please return.
Fun and funky log cabin
We very much enjoyed our stay at this fun and funky log cabin. It reminded me of an old English garden house, set amongst tons of slightly wild foliage, with a frog pond and tons of birds flitting around. Sitting on the screen porch enjoying the weather was delightful. The owner was extremely accommodating and knowledgeable about the surrounding area and its offerings.
Rustic and cozy
It was everything we wanted for our two day stay. We did not know what to do with the cat for which a bowl of water was left outside. We fed it on our last day.
The feral cat was taken to the shelter. They assured me it would be adopted. I had nothing to do with getting the cat onto the property and felt badly until it was caught.
Charming home in a great location. Well maintained and stocked with all you need. Very peaceful and just simply wonderful.
Asheville is a nice town with lots of things to do. Beautiful drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway going south, the North Carolina Arboreridum has some lovely trails.
This cabin is ideally located between downtown Asheville and Hendersonville. They are about 15 minutes in either direction. It is close to dining, shopping, and the airport and yet you feel you are miles away from everything.
