Perfect for guys fishing trip

  • 5 of 5

Property was clean, spacious, and fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. Loved the screened in porch. Perfect for a guys fishing trip. Multiple boat launches within 10 minutes from rental. Joanna was very accommodating and answered all of my questions. Would stay here again and recommend rental to friends.

Well maintained, clean and centrally located.

  • 5 of 5

This is a wonderful place to stay. We are a family of 7 with 5 children, ages 14, 12, 5, 4, 3. We all slept comfortably. (I did bring and use a portable crib for the 3 year old.) The screened in room is a wonderful asset to this property - great place for the kids to play. The kids enjoyed going exploring for their own marshmallow roasting sticks, in the woods behind the house. The location is great for many outdoor adventures, yet not far from necessities should you need something. We utilized the small boat landing, right down the road, to go canoeing and fishing. Buckhorn State park is very close by also - another great place to go fishing, swimming, exploring with children.

I would recommend this property to anyone needing to stay in the area, be it a wedding, family reunion or just to relax and go exploring the area.

Also, I hesitate to say this, as this is such a great property but, I would recommend bringing your own drinking water and a bag of ice. It is explained that the water is not to be consumed or used for cooking. (It is not overly hazardous, just not recommended.) The property owner does provide gallon jugs of water. But, if you are blessed with excellent well drinking water at your own home, as we are, tap water in a jug doesn't taste 'right.' Had I known this prior to arrival I would have brought several gallons of water and a bag of ice with us - as, I am the type that packs everything and doesn't want to go to the store after getting settled. :) (I think it has something to do with the 6 other people that I traveled with. :) )

The property owner is very friendly, good about communication and through with giving information.

We would definitely stay there again.

Thank you, Joanna and Andy, for your hospitality!

Owner's Response: Thank you Liz:) Hoping to host you and your family next summer! That is a good tip about the water and may be helpful for future guests... It is good to know families are able to enjoy the place- I think a house is happier 'lived in'! Enjoy the last couple days of summer before kids are back to school!!

Fantastic family gathering place

  • 5 of 5

This home was perfect for my family to get away from it all and still be short drives away from tourist attractions and hiking beautiful parks. The owners added personal touches to make us comfortable and really feel at home in a short period of time. The living room and the screened-in porch have plenty of sitting room for the entire family. The kitchen has just about every type of pot, pan or utensil you need to cook and plenty of room to sit around the tables to eat as a family.

All in all, this fantastic place perfectly suited my family's needs, was true to description, and the hosts could not have been more accommodating!

Wonderful place for a family getaway. Clean, comfortable, and close to outdoor activities.

  • 5 of 5

First I must say I was impressed at the cleanliness and order of the cabin. The owners are attentive to details and easy to communicate with. Very positive experience throughout the process of renting, vacationing, and the quick refund of deposit. No worries about these owners they are on top of any concerns and are helpful with any locals information. We stayed here for my boys to go dirt biking in Rome at dyracuse motocross park. Because of storms with downed trees the park wasn't fully accessible, but they still enjoyed the park. They also went trap shooting at Homegrounds RV park which they said was incredible. Our dog enjoyed the room to roam dog park, as it was super hot we had the entire park to ourselves. As we were out and about most of the day enjoying wonderful WI, our evenings at the cabin we enjoyed with games on the screened patio and family movies. It was to hot for a campfire, but they have two fire pits so plenty of options. Great place to stay only thing to make it better would be transport this place to a lake....that being said it is very close to boat landings and water activities and wasn't priced as if on a lake so A+ in our book.
