A perfect Sunriver vacation home for our family

  • 5 of 5

We loved this house. The minor maintenance items (i.e. smoke alarm battery needed replacing and toilet flusher broken) were repaired efficiently and professionally after one phone call. The home is clean and well maintained. The home slept 2 adults and 3 children easily, but could have accommodated 2 more people (more easily children) without much crowding. The location was perfect for us, at the NE edge of Sunriver and we preferred being farther from the crowds of the VIllage and the SHARC (8 SHARC passes included with home; SHARC about 2.5 miles away on bike). A quiet location that is close walking distance to the north store and the north pool/gym. 3 bikes in fair/good condition available for average sized adult riders. Our favorite part of the house was sitting on the back deck, surrounded by quiet. We will definitely rent again.

Winter wonderland

  • 3 of 5

Overall, the house fit our needs - large living and dining space for family meals and games; four private bedrooms; and a hot tub. It was comfortable and cozy for our family holiday trip. However, there are a few quirks that need to be addressed: the sunken living room is a major hazard. My 80 year old mother-in-law tripped twice, once landing on her hip. Lucky, she didn't break anything - just a bad bruise on her stomach. The space needs a railing to prevent falls, especially since it is carpeted and is very slippery. The garage door was having problems opening. The hot tub stopped working on our last day. Also, if snow or ice is melting off the room - watch your head in the hot tub. One of the bedrooms is a converted storage attic and is not heated, so you have to leave the door open and add extra blankets. There are some odd and dangerous quirks. If fixed this would be a lovely home. As is, we won't be back to this house, but we made do and enjoyed our stay.

House needs maintenance.

  • 3 of 5

Location was super, at the quiet end of resort, but within a bike ride to everything.

Stains on the carpet as we entered the dining area and then living room were a disappointment.

However the place was big enough for the 6 of us and beds very comfortable.

Bring fans tho if renting it in summer. The house could use ceiling fans, it gets stuffy

in first floor bedroom. There are 2 there now.

Kitchen was great, loved the ice maker and that there were spices left in cupboard.

The 3 bikes were a plus, and it was a short ride to the north market.

Creepy Sun God

  • 5 of 5

Our stay was amazing, great place I recommend it. The only bad part was a creepy sun god wall decoration, that we took down and put in the closet. Other that it was perfect.

Owner's Response: I'm so happy that you enjoyed the home and all of it's amenities! The location of the home is very quiet on that North end and very easy to enjoy. I'm sorry that piece of decor was a bit bothersome for you but I'm very glad you tucked it away during your stay. Thanks again for staying with us and we would love to have you back soon! -The Village Properties Team
