If a vacation is not complete without a fun family BBQ on the deck, then 60 Red Cedar Lane is the perfect Sunriver vacation home for you! This passive-solar home has an enclosed deck area which also doubles as a sunroom, providing you the opportunity to kick back and enjoy the heat sheltered from any wind chills that might be lingering in the air. Alternatively, let the kids use this ‘room’ to burn off some energy with a lively game of foosball. The extended outdoor deck area is rimmed with bench seating so it provides another great place for your whole group to gather – especially on those days when the sun is beating down gloriously. The hot tub sits in a partially sectioned-off area of the outer deck, adding the perfect touch of intimacy to this spacious gathering locale.
The kitchen opens up to the dining and living area and also looks out onto the deck, so those preparing dinner are still a part of all the action. A small card table makes room for some pre-dinner activity while the table is being set and also provides room for a few extra dinner guests.
The king and one of the queen bedrooms have their own indoor balconies that sit above the main-level sunroom. The twin bedroom and the second queen are tucked away quietly in the back so the kids can get an early night’s rest.
60 Red Cedar Lane is just a couple of houses away from the Sunriver bike path. Heading west will take you up to the Perimeter Loop and heading east it is just a short 5 minute ride to the Woodlands Golf Course Clubhouse or the North Grocery Store (Sunriver Marketplace). This home is also in close proximity to a number of other Sunriver vacation rentals managed by Village Properties so organizing a large family reunion or company retreat will be a breeze.

Spring/Fall 4 for 2 Special!
When we arrived in August, we were pleasantly surprised to find that the house was rather cool since there is no air conditioning. In addition, there were fans provided in each bedroom which were a big help when the house heated up in the afternoons. The living space downstairs was quite comfortable with plenty of room for cooking in the good sized kitchen. There were a few things that I might improve, but they didn't affect our overall experience. One was that the door on the fridge opened backwards, making it a little awkward to load and unload the fridge. An easy fix, though, as the door is meant to open either way. Also, the "sliding" doors were very sticky, almost requiring two hands to open and close. If you plan to do any cooking in this house, I would suggest that you bring a large non-stick skillet since all of the cookware was not non-stick. Though there were quite a few useful utensils, a good spatula would have been nice. Extra kitchen towels are always on our list of things to take to Sunriver, and I'm glad we took some this time.
The bedrooms and bathrooms are good sized, and we liked that the bedrooms were all upstairs. The small bathroom downstairs was really handy, too. The location of the house made it very quiet and the use of the additional outdoor space was a real plus. Having the SHARC passes is a must for us and we used them daily. However, unless you are a real bike enthusiast, I would suggest driving to the pool as it is quite a ways from the pool.
We really enjoyed our stay and would probably return to this house.
