My family's Northwest roots go back over 100 years, and my happiest memories from every childhood summer on Agate Point, and continued tranquil life on Bainbridge Island. Now spending a lot of time in California, I wanted my young Daughter to experience the joys, outdoor activities, and serenity that Bainbridge so openly offers.
Peter purchased this House in 2013
Why Peter chose Bainbridge Island
There is simply nothing like Bainbridge Island...a mere 30 minute Ferry ride from dynamic Downtown Seattle, yet a lifetime away....unspoiled forests, rolling lawns, farms, walks, beaches, and cozy fires - in winter and summer. Plus Main Street Winslow and Eagle Harbor, offer art, quaint shops, wonderful chef-owned dining, and the best Waterfront Pub and Coffee house anywhere!
What makes this House unique
Very Private, warm, cozy and inviting for 2 or 10! With many in-home 'getaway' spaces for quiet reading and rest, in addition to 5 Private Bedrooms, 3 fireplaces, and a casually elegant kitchen.dining area that seats 10. All this, and surrounded by over 240 acres of the Grand Forest trails - walking, biking, or hiking, all with a very central Island location.

Wonderful time in a beautiful home.
My family stayed at Peter's beautiful home for my daughter's wedding at the Kiana Lodge. Everyone loved the house and how comfortable they felt staying there, plus it's on a beautiful golf course. I can't say enough good things so won't even try. Dealing with the owner Peter was the best part, I felt like I was staying at a friends home. He gave us so many wonderful suggestions for exploring the area and many other helpful hints. We will have many happy memories of our stay on Bainbridge Island. Thank you so much for everything Peter.
Our family of six (four children) had a wonderful vacation while staying at the Meadowland house. The house itself is in an ideal location in the center of the island, so we were only a short drive to activities and amenities. We loved the warm and inviting atmosphere of the house; it has a cozy, beachy cottage feel while still providing plenty of space for everyone to spread out. We had heavy rain for most of our stay (thank you April spring weather.....), but the backyard looks perfect for entertaining and is easily accessed from the front room by large sliders. What we liked most was all the extra details to make us feel welcome: The fireplace was set up and ready to start, fresh flowers were set out, extra kitchen and bathroom supplies are provided should you forget to bring something. Peter, the owner, was amazing! Very helpful and quick to respond with any questions. Our family loves trips to Bainbridge Island, and we will definitely stay here again!
We had a great stay with our family. The house is kid friendly, comfortable, and everything we needed was provided (eg, shampoo, soap, dishes, linens, paper towels, etc.). The owner was easily reachable and flexible. We would love to return on our next visit to the Island. Thanks!
Loved the location and roomy home. Would recommend the home for a large group, there were enough comfortable bed rooms. Owner was very helpful, going out of his way to ensure our stay was stress free.
Golf Course Oasis
We were in the middle of a move, selling our home in Oregon, and starting a new job in Seattle, so of course it was a stressful time. We arrived exhausted, and left feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. The paths around the golf course and into the forest are lovely, as is the lake. The kitchen is well stocked, and home is spacious and family friendly. I wholeheartedly agree with other reviewers that Peter is an excellent and responsive host. After we had scheduled our time here and paid in full, we had a last minute change in plans, and he could have just kept our money -- but instead he offered a full refund, and we ended up rescheduling. His integrity and willingness to be flexible are deeply appreciated!
Beautiful house in a wonderful location. We loved celebrating Thanksgiving with our family there. The house was perfect with lots of beds and a great common space and outdoor seating area. It is a perfect homebase for trips to Seattle, or there is plenty to do on the island and Olympic Peninsula. Thanks to Peter for sharing your wonderful home!
