Great location and a comfortable homebase
Although the casita is not as roomy as it appears in the photos, it is certainly more than adequate for two people. Ken is a gracious host and was there to meet us. It is a bit dark and better lighting, especially in the living room would add to the cozy atmosphere, and make it easier to read and do trip planning. We loved being able to walk to the Plaza, restaurants, and museums. The garage is a big bonus and meant we weren’t looking for parking. Santa Fe at Christmas is quite magical and we would love to return.
Santa Fe Charmer
Can't say enough good things about our experience staying at this casita. The owners were so helpful and friendly and easily a phone call away if we had any questions. Ken greeted us upon check in and gave us a tour of the casita. (It has some very interesting history). The location can't be beat if you want to stay in and around the Plaza. We were two blocks from the square and walked there daily. It was also handy that these units have garages and a nice shared courtyard with the other 3 units. The neighborhood was quiet and the park next door was an added bonus to walk our dogs. The casita itself was exactly as the pictures look. Very charming wood and tile details throughout. Finding accommodations with a fireplace was a must for me and I was not disappointed with the one in our casita. Wood is provided by the owners. The bed and living room furniture were comfortable and the smaller chair is a recliner. Overall this place did not disappoint. It had the Santa Fe charm I was looking for.
Simply gorgeous place.
Use VRBO all the time and this has to be one of the greatest places we have stayed. Ken is wonderful, the place is unbelievably beautiful and a mere two block walk to the plaza. Any place that allows dogs is tops in my book and the dog park right across the street is a major plus. Just beware the dog catcher police who seems to lurk behind bushes to make sure your dog is NEVER off the leash. Even almost blinded us with his spotlight during an early morning dog walk. Besides that, everything about the place and Ken is five star.
Very nice place, great location
My wife and I enjoyed our stay in this casita on our first trip to Santa Fe. The place is beautiful with very nice touches in terms of tiles, flooring, and furniture. The location was perfect and an easy walk to the plaza and the downtown area. In addition, having a garage made it easier to explore the area via our rental car. We did not cook while we were there, but having a full kitchen and washing machine made our mornings and nights so much easier. My only small complaint would be the bed. It would make the experience so much better to have a king sized bed and more/better pillows. This is a small complaint, but based on the rental prices charged, it would be a worthy investment for the landlord. Overall, we would definitely stay here again.
Perfect Santa Fe casita
We love staying in one of Ken's casitas. They are lovely, clean and in a great location...only a couple of blocks to the Plaza or Canyon Road. We have everything we need here and enjoy the convenience of venturing out for a few hours and returning for a little relaxation. There is garage parking, and they consider pets. Ken is a perfect host. We'll be back!
Perfectly located to access all of City Center Santa Fe on foot.
Santa Fe will lure you in. Ken welcomed us at The Casita, and it was very comfortable, with a park right across the street for our dog.
Quiet neighborhood, and don't leave without taking in the views at Fort Marcy, just above The Casita.
