About Gail Evans
We purchased our Cape May home at the end of 2012 right after Hurricane Sandy hit the New Jersey coast. Since the home had one other owner who passed away, it was in dire need of updating, which we did over the first six months of 2013 so that it was ready for the 2013 summer season.
Gail Evans purchased this House in 2012
Why Gail Evans chose Village Green
People tell us that our property, in addition to having all the amenities they are looking for in a rental home, is in an ideal location for a family vacation. It's close to all the attractions, yet the house itself is on a quiet, tree-lined street that is perfect for the kids to ride bike and play outside without worry. They can take the kids to Wildwood for a day or evening but come back to the quaintness of Cape May.
What makes this House unique
Sitting on the front porch having a morning coffee has to be one of the most relaxing times you'll have during your summer vacation.

We have been renting this house at least once a year since 2015 and it never disappoints. Cape May has become our favorite spot to unwind and this house makes that possible. It is located in a quiet neighborhood and the owners have equipped it to pretty much have everything you could possibly need during your stay. Best part is we can take our furry family members with us and they enjoy it as much as we do. Now, if only we could control the weather.
BEAUTIFUL, WELL-APPOINTED, CLEAN, PERFECTLY LOCATED HOME!!
From the minute we walked in, this felt like home! The house is immaculate, the rooms are spacious, airy, and well-appointed, the floors are beautiful, and everything works perfectly. The owners have thought of everything! Just one example: We loved that we could put the news on in the morning in the sunroom and view it from the spacious, open kitchen, while we enjoyed our coffee and breakfast. There was a book where guests can write about their stay, which was fun to look through, and there was another interesting book , with photos, detailing the renovations that the owners had made to the home. This home is a five-minute walk to Beach Avenue - easy walking, everything is level! - and there are loads of interesting streets to explore in any given direction, too! We adored the front porch and spent a great deal of time sitting out there. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful. It's the perfect house!! We hope to stay here again next year!! Thank you, Gail and Don Evans!!!
Beautiful and clean home had a great time.
Clean and very nicely decorated. Loved it. Close to the shops and beach. We had a great time riding bikes all around Cape May!!
Modern and clean with plenty of space for everyone
Gail was very helpful prior and during and the property is an excellent place to stay - it's near everything and only a short walk from the beach -highly recommended
Charming, cozy, lovely!
We were very pleased when we walked into this home. It really is beautiful. Very clean; decorated very nicely; just a joy. Lots of space (we were two couples; and 2 dogs). We especially loved the sun-room. We were just a little disappointed that we couldn't use the fireplace (the remote control wasn't in the house)- other than that, a Perfect Stay!
Beautiful, quaint home in Cape May
The house is on a quiet street in Cape May and close to everything. Our dog was very comfortable the entire time of our stay. The house was very updated and clean. The only concern we had would be using the yard area for bathroom times. There wasn't any grass out back of the home and there was a sign posted in the front yard to not allow dogs on it so we made due with walking up and down the street for potty breaks. Overall a great place to stay and would consider it again if we are in Cape May.
