Unique Property at the Beach
We loved this house! Our family had a nice quiet comfortable stay in December. We loved the uniqueness of the house. The furnishings were comfortable and the hottub was great. We had a warm day so we sat in the screened in porch and played games. We plan to come back in the summer.
No value for your dollar!
There are several issues with this rental. In the online photo they show a brightly lit dining table. It was so dark in the living room that we could not see to play board games at the dining table in the evening. You have to bring your own sheets, pillow cases and bath towels, in addition to paper products...they do not even provide toilet paper! Which is not mentioned in the property description. There is no cancelation period, once you book you can not reconsider. My credit card was immediately charged for rental insurance also, over three hundred dollars for a weeks stay, in case something comes up and you can not make the vacation. The dining table will only seat eight. And last but not least the place was not very clean, there were layers of dust around the carpeting, and the fans were filthy. And while they talk about a jack and jill bathroom, actually one bedroom is problematic, it can only be accessed by going through a bathroom or another bedroom.
Parking meters at the beach are watched very carefully by a cadre of parking violation people and you will get a hefty fine if you do not closely follow the rules, especially at the local farmers market. We did though enjoy the proximity to the beaches, as well as biking and kayaking.
Thanks for taking the time to write a review of this property. However, there are many inaccuracies. Seachange vacation rentals sends out a comprehensive welcome package that covers many of the items that you list in your review. Perhaps you did not have the opportunity to review this information prior to your stay. Had you called us regarding the cleanliness of the property, we could have had our cleaning crew come out and reclean the property as they offer 100% satisfaction. You are correct, that parking in Rehoboth is very stringent. We are happy that you enjoyed the proximity to the beaches as well as biking and kayaking.
Best, Andy Meddick Seachange Vacation Rentals
House was just as advertised. The only oddity is that the only access to one of the bedrooms is through the bathroom or other bedroom. We loved the house and would definitely rent it again.
Thanks for staying with us! So glad you loved the house. Best, Andy Meddick, Seachange vacation rentals.
The house is as described and the location is convenient. Tastefully decorated but in need of a good top to bottom cleaning (1/4 inch of dust on headboards, fans, cabinets, etc.) Though the listing notes a guest cottage included after Memorial Day, it was not made available to our party with no explanation offered other than "there is plenty of room for your party". The bathrooms are indeed situated a bit strangely but our family had no trouble coordinating use of them.
Feels like home
Our entire family loved every minute of our stay in this lovely little cabin. It has the feel of a mountain retreat with the benefit of a short stroll to the beach. We felt at home from the minute we walked in and the house is a cozy, historic treasure -- very unique.
Great Family Retreat
This lovely little log cabin has a beachy theme, but feels like a mountain retreat. The home is nestled on a wooden lot with many trees, has a cozy warmth, and rustic charm, but is a short walk to the beach. Our family loved every minute we spent there!
