We would stay again! My husbands 5 week experience:

  • 5 of 5

Overall this apartment was perfect for my husbands 5 week stay in Seattle for treatment at UW medical center. Because of the extended stay, there were a few things that we felt required to get to make it comfortable: spider traps, there was an enormous one in the entrance to the house, air fresheners-it definitely has that older house smell, dark curtains, the ones in the bedrooms are white and see-through and we didn't like that at night. My husband was more picky than most so he also bought new bedding, a new showerhead (because the one provided is not adjustable), a cover for the couch, and hangers. Keep in mind he was staying 5 weeks so it was like creating it "his home" for that time. There are a few plastic store hangers. It was required to get a new shower mat, the one in the house was disgusting. His stay overall was good! Great location, great home feeling and he is 6'1" and had no problem with the one area of low ceilings. I would however be aware, if there is a renter upstairs it is EXTREMELY LOUD! Every move they make you hear, and they did not follow the rules regarding quiet hours so it was tough for my husband going through treatment (we never complained or notified Lisa..so we could have if we felt the need). One tenant had two dogs with them...and you could really hear that. The location was absolutely perfect though and if we had the chance to stay again we would! It's already reserved for our next stay! :( Lisa was a fabulous host and checked in to make sure all was going well. Pictures show the rental to a T - the kitchen now has added Appliances like toasters and things. Thanks for a good experience on our first HomeAway stay!

Good Place! Great Location l!

  • 4 of 5

The apartment was a great location for anyone visiting Seattle. Lisa made us feel welcome when we arrived. The place is very clean and equipped many amenities. It includes a washer and dryer, which could help with planning your stay. The apartment is also perfect for those traveling without a car, it's within walking distance to two major grocery stores, Safeway and QFC.

Home away from home! Clean, great location, easy to find, has anything you would need.

  • 5 of 5

We booked super last minute due to our housing situation falling through, and Lisa was very kind in letting us stay. Our 3 year old was having surgery at Seattle childrens, and this place couldn't be more perfect for what we needed. The location is excellent and close to anything you could want. It is homey feeling, and had all the amenities you could ask for. It is definitely a basement apartment, so like the other reviews said, you can hear people walking upstairs (in our case, a child screaming), and the ceilings are very low (don't stay here if you are taller than 5'10, seriously), but we have lived in basement places before, so we weren't bothered at all. The kitchen is amazing and well stocked for anyone who likes to cook (and save some money), having the option of a washer and dryer was awesome too. The decor reminds me of my own home, so we were all very comfortable (the board games were a total bonus!) Overall the experience has been great, and we will definitely try and stay here again next time we have more hospital stays.

Convenient, Clean, Every necessity provided

  • 5 of 5

I had to find a place to stay near UW for two weeks, until my apartment was available for move- in. The location of the house was ideal and a short hike down the hill to the Safeway bus stop. Making reservations, payment and getting check- in information was a breeze. Upon arrival, the directions for everything were clear and easy to understand. The two bedrooms, bath and small TV room were just perfect and very cozy. The wifi/netflix services worked great. The kitchen has everything one could need, and a washer/dryer in the suite was a real plus. The place is immaculate and decorated in a very warm/welcoming way. Occasionally there was noise from upstairs tenants, but no more than one would hear from basic apartment living. I found it to be very comfortable and a great solution for anyone needing a two room unit near the University. U Village is a ten minute walk at most. Very convenient. Thank you Lisa.

Cozy and Convenient

  • 5 of 5

Lisa's place was very nice and convenient to the Burke Museum (~1 mile) where I had a meeting. It was quiet, clean and very well maintained. Her description and photos did justice to the apartment. She warned about the lower ceilings ( basement) but they were not in every room so the tallest person staying there soon got accustomed to the placement. The kitchen and bathroom were large and there was a washer and dryer in the apartment. The bedrooms had the necessities and were comfortable. There were grocery stores, restaurants and public transportation nearby. Lisa provided a binder of local information as well as a very nice extra (books, board games and local travel guides) in the bedroom bookcase. I was very satisfied and would be more than willing to stay again. The light rail system runs from the Sea-Tac airport terminals to near the apartment. It was clean, easy to use and fairly cheap ($3-4 one way entire length) Only one caution: the thermostat is in the living room and the baseboard heat is in the bedrooms, if you turn up the thermostat and close the bedroom doors, the heat just keeps going.
