Guestbook comments from the manager

It was so nice to come back to this great place after a long day of sight seeing. It is so comfy and cozy. I loved having a kitchen where we could cook our own meals, everything was in the cupboard just like home. It is close to shopping and fun family activities. It was nice a spacious and in a quiet neighborhood. This was just like having your own cabin in Yellowstone. I'm ready planning to come back next year.

We came for a long weekend, and it was great! We had some issues with the hot water, but Marta was very accessible and had it fixed quickly. Would definitely recommend to anyone!

Great place to stay as a home base to visit the western side of Yellowstone.

  • 4 of 5

Place was cute and met all our needs. My only suggestion to the owner is to provide extra pillowcase for the extra pillows in the closet.

We would stay here again. Just the simple, cozy place we needed. I especially appreciated how well stocked the kitchen cookware and utensils were!

Advertisement of the Alpine West Cabana [AWC] is not honest

  • 1 of 5

We visited Yellowstone in early May. My wife and I were very disappointed when we arrived at the Cabana because we found the AWC is not honestly advertised. The AWC is actually an apartment included in a long structure that has 4 garages and a business office. So if you review their pictures the garages and the business office are hidden as the exterior image shown is edited to hide them.

The interior and furnishings in the apartment are older. The kitchen is tiny and there are signs of age and that it was damaged by small critters. If you have low expectations for a rental of this type then you will not be bothered by the Cabana's flaws. If you have high expectations for a rental of this type, then it best to avoid the Cabana.

Owner's Response: This is a very hard review to respond to, because we tried numerous times to get in touch with the renter and see why they were unhappy. They would never return our calls or emails, yet they thought it was ok to leave a bad review? The Cabana has been a great renter and most guests are really happy with their stay and feel like they got a great value. Please see the many excellent reviews and you'll see that this is the case. This renter didn't even spend one night, so guessing they had 5 star high dollar resort expectations, but for a budget price? Yes, there are "signs of age" because it's an older property, although also one that is lovingly maintained and kept immaculately clean. The owner owns a curios shop in town and the separate "garages" are storage units for merchandise. There is no business office or traffic that would disturb renters. The reviewer makes it sound like something that it is not, and the allegations are unfounded and unfair! Damaged by small critters? What critters, and what damage? Please let us know if there's something you don't like or if something is amiss when you arrive, and we'll do everything we can to make it right! Please also know that this is a very cozy and clean rental that is exactly what is advertised, nothing more and nothing less. It's a great value and a lot more spacious, quiet (and even has a kitchen) when compared to hotels that are charging $100+ more per night for a single room. Please check out the other reviews, and thanks for looking!

Nice place

  • 5 of 5

Met all our expectations. Nice, quiet place with plenty of room. Drive into Yellowstone from here is fun; you go thru a valley that is plentiful with bison. I recommend this place.
