Overview

About the property

3 Bedroom, 3 Bath, Dog Ok, Ski Lease, Walk To Beach, Hiking

You will be completely charmed by this classic old Tahoe cabin. From the moment you walk into this home, it will take you back to a simpler time. A time where great times with family and friends were paramount. Just imagine, sitting on the large deck, watching the grand kids on the big lawn or enjoying the flagstone patio under the tall pines.

Once inside, this home classic style is Old Tahoe at it's best, with high cross beam ceilings, hand stained knotty pine and a wonderful wood stove to keep you toasty. The upscale lodge style furnishings compliment the home's rustic appeal. The dining area features a farm style table with big windows to enjoy to forest views. The kitchen is fully equipment with a gas range, dishwasher and a has an opening to see all the happenings in the great room. Also on the main level is the master bedroom with a king bed and attached bath.

Upstairs there are two additional bedrooms, each with it's own bath. One bedroom has two twins and the final bedroom has a double and a nice desk work space. Connecting the two bedroom is a loft overlooking the great room with two twins. The railing is pretty open, so would not be suitable for small children.

One of the unique features of this home is a wood storage area with access through the laundry room, so no going out in the snow to get wood!

The home west shore location is just 2 minutes from Sunnyside, 5 minutes from Homewood Ski Area and a short distance to bike trails and the beach at Hurricane Bay. There is exceptional access to the backcountry trails and boardwalks at Ward Creek Park, just two blocks away.

What a terrific home to create great Tahoe memories. You will want to come back year, after year!

Fantastic Vacation at the Timberland Lodge

  • 5 of 5

My family and I had a fantastic time at the Timberland Lodge! Beautiful setting, great home, layout and more than enough parking. All of the rooms we very nice, clean and well managed. Very turnkey, got the keys from the management company and just moved our family in. We had 7 adults (Our 3 adult children, two significant others and one infant 4 months old) plus our family dog Buster. MORE than enough room to accommodate all of us. Great dining room table for dinners. We also loved the very spacious deck and BBQ. Great place great times! Thank you for a wonderful vacation!

A Place When You Leave, You Know You Will Be Back

  • 5 of 5

I left feeling like I was saying bye to an old friend. But I knew I would be back. This is the most comfortable home and it has everything you will need. It has the feeling of being your home, like you are sitting in your living room and you have been there for years.

The deck is perfect and the amount of sun you get is perfect, and each room has windows that offer you wonderful fragrance of the beautiful outside. It is not ostentatious but down to earth proper leisure that is money well spent.

I cannot wait to go back and I will.

The only downside of this place is when you leave, you feel a sense of sadness, but then I reminded myself, now I know it exists and I cannot wait to go back. You will want for nothing if you stay here, literally. Well, except to go back.

Timberland

  • 4 of 5

We loved our stay at Timberland Lodge. It was classic Old Tahoe in a great location. The house is very comfortable and had everything we needed. Sue and Aimee helped us find the house at the last minute and supplied a couple things we needed. It's close to Sunnyside and Tahoe City and very close to the Lake.

Great place for a family vacation

  • 5 of 5

Our family has stayed here in both the summer and the winter and find it to be a wonderful place to get away. The front windows are picturesque especially when it's snowing. The front balcony is large and great for hanging out for breakfast, lunch or dinner. There is a nice dining room with a great dining room table we used to play games and put together puzzles. The living room and fireplace are wonderful for sitting, talking or reading and the fire keeps the whole house warm. In both winter and summer, I really enjoyed walking down to the lake and around the neighborhood; so beautiful and so peaceful! During the winter, those who ski or snowboard have their pick of mountains like Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows or, my favorite, Homewood Ski Resort to the south. In the summer, we went for bike rides into Tahoe City and down the Truckee River and even rafted down the Truckee once. The owners take wonderful care of the property. I would recommend this to a friend and cannot wait to go back.
