Why Kelley Root chose Upper Peninsula

We chose to purchase this property because we could use it all year long. With 65 acres that is right next to state land you can hunt, boat on nearby lakes, see well known destinations and of course snowmobile

What makes this house unique

You are able to store your quads, boat or snowmobile in a two stall garage to keep them out of the elements

Nice Place

  • 4 of 5

My friends and I stayed here for a snowmobile trip, we liked the location and the house, our only complaint was when we first entered the house there was a smell of rotten garbage in the house, we tried to air it out a little, But every time we came back from a ride it was still there, that's why the four stars, other than that Nice place and location.

Perfect location for snowmobiling or hunting.

  • 4 of 5

Perfect location for snowmobiling or hunting, two nice lakes for fishing and a central location to explore the upper peninsula. House was comfortable with necessary amenities. I would suggest to the owners that cable TV be made available as there is relatively no cell phone service and because local TV channels don't come in on the TV its difficult to get weather reports. Trout lake offers a grocery store and restaurants although because of a lack of cell service its difficult to find out lying resources, such as a hardware or Wal-Mart. I will be planning my next stay here soon!!

Just can't say enough good things about this place and trip overall. The house was easy to find; very clean and inviting; furnished; the garage to put our "toys" away at night was fantastic!; the main ORV trail attaches right to a trail onto this property!!!! What more can I say? Simply AWESOME! Had campfire every night. Relaxing, quiet, yet convenient! Definitely recommended! Barb

Beautiful property, and cozy cabin!!!

  • 5 of 5

As a mom with three teens it was a great place to unplug. The house is very clean and a lot bigger on the inside then it looks from the outside. Great location minutes from several dinners and a local general store that was stocked with everything you would need. It has the perfect back yard with a fire pit for roasting marshmallow on the wonderful Michigan summer nights. We would defiantly come back.

Right in the middle of everything we wanted.

  • 4 of 5

We loved the spaciousness of the house. Very fitting for our big family. The dryer wasn't working during our stay which was the biggest disappointment. Everything in the kitchen was great. Thankful for all the utensils and kitchen items provided. We managed to make the one bathroom work. A great spot to get off the grid. Did not have any cell phone reception and had to make sure we got our groceries in an actual city. Great location for everything we wanted.
