Sofa sleeper in living area. 1 full bath, 1 Partial bath with shower. Gas stove fireplace to enjoy after a fun day skiing or a cool evening. Over looking 4 14,000 ft. Rocky Mountains. Fully furnished kitchen, dish washer, cloths dryer and washer. High end home, internet connection. On 10 acres fantastic views, gold trophy fishing catch and release. 1 car attached garage. You will not have to fight the weather, pull in and walk directly into your residence. Super sunrises and sunsets. Wake up with a feeling of space in a true Colorado setting. Lots of wildlife on the property or near by. You can never tell when Elk, deer, moose, fox, hawks, or owls can be seen. Very close to Hwy 9 to Breckenridge approx.

30 minutes beautiful drive which is well kept up for it is the medical route to local hospital. Pets not allowed. No smoking please.

Born in northern Vermont. Built this home 12 years ago as my dream home. Doesn't get much better, love those Rocky Mountains. Great location, out and about yet close to Summit County a fun place to live and lots to do year round.

Super sun rises and sun sets. Read a book by the fire. Wake up with a feeling of space in a true Colorado setting. Lots of wildlife on the property or near by. You can never tell when Elk, deer, moose, fox, hawks, or owls can be seen. Close to Hwy 9 easy access. No fighting muddy roads.

Absolutely stunning view from Ray's house. Beautiful piece of property!

We had a great time at Ray's. It is a little bit of a drive from Breckenridge, but we never had any problems getting to the slopes with a 4-wheel drive car during the 18 inch blizzard we had. It is definitely worth the price and comfortable with 4 people. His property is absolutely gorgeous and I would love to come back in the summer to see the views and wildlife. Only downsides: 1) TV has very limited channels and 2) Only have access to bottom floor of house. However, Ray is a super nice guy and I would definitely stay here again. Doesn't get better than staying in the Rockies at Ray's!

Plus and Minus

The pros and the cons.. The pros are that the unit is very spacious for a 2BR and has nice high ceilings. Also, the view from the living area is beautiful. There are several cons... someone described the kitchen as "quirky". That's being kind. There are not enough plates, glasses, etc to go without washing the dishes for a day. If you try to put them in the dishwasher you will find the dishwasher only opens to a 45 degree angle because the oven is in the way. The cookware was really yucky. I pointed that out to the owner and he gave us some of his pots from upstairs. The house is very dark. Most of the lights are 40 or 60 watt. I guess to save money. We bought 100 watt bulbs to try to brighten the place up. Most of the furnishings look and feel like they're from the Salvation Army or a garage sale. The sofa bed was a joke. It was horrible for my son. We ended up buying an aero mattress so he could get a good night sleep. One bed was fine, the other was very soft. The whole place could use a good scrubbing to clean it up. Last but not least the drive to Breckenridge is 30 min as noted by many. Be aware though if you are driving on a snowy day that is a seriously curvy and steep road and it will take a lot longer then 30 min in the snow. In summary, Ray the owner who lives upstairs, is a very nice man so I hate to have these negative things to say. However, all of them are entirely fix-up-able so perhaps Ray will do that and make a note next to this review.

Great base camp for mountain adventures

Stunning views and a perfect location for excursions into the mountains. We stayed here in early September and climbed some 14ers. We arrived to the most beautiful sunset we've ever seen...ever. The property was great, everything was ready for us, no hassles, very smooth. Ray knows how to make the rental experience pleasant and easy going. Just wish we had more time to hang out in the house, but the mountains were calling... We will be back.

What amazing views and spectacular home

We stayed for a long weekend and throughly enjoyed every bit of our stay. Ray, your home is so beautiful, the views were something out of a picture book. Listening to the elk at night, seeing the stars so clearly and being able to walk around with the nature was exactly what we wanted. Make sure to check out Al-mart in Alma, the ghost town in fairplay and the brown burro for an outstanding breakfast! We will definitely be back. Hopefully next time we will get to meet you.

Wonderful stay!

What a wonderful home in a beautiful setting. My husband, 2 year-old daughter, and myself stayed here over Labor day weekend 2016. The accommodations were perfect for us, and we wish we had some additional family to fill the space -- it was so roomy! The cabin has lots of windows that provide an awesome view and wonderful natural light. Great location for a quick drive to great hiking and/or site seeing. The owner, Ray, was so helpful squeezing us in last minute. He was a very gracious host all around! Thank you Ray!
