Why Kelly Grossetete chose Taos Ski Valley

My family bought this prime lot in 2008. We built this amazing complex for its close proximity to the base ski area, its amenities and the spectacular skiing and hiking trails. Construction was completed in 2011.

Once I park at the condo, I never have to use the car again. Everything is within walking distance. Yet, in the summer or when need a break from skiing, Taos and the surrounding area offers great opportunities for a wide variety of activities and really unique shopping opportunities.

So pleased!

We were so pleased with the condo. It is immaculate, modern, beautifully decorated and has a balcony with a grill and a pleasant view. The host left much appreciated recommendations for sites and restaurants in the area.

The Perfect Getaway

  • 5 of 5

We were somewhat skeptical about writing a review because we want to keep this place a secret, but we figured it was the right thing to do. It exceeded our expectations and we hope to return real soon. If you read the description of this condo and all the amenities--it is word for word how it was described. We mostly enjoyed being away from the town and the hustle and bustle and enjoyed our walks down the road to Tim's Stray Dog Cantina.

Beautiful modern condo minutes from the slopes

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at St Moritz. Family of 4 with 2 kids 2 and 4. Plenty of room, comfortable beds. Spotless clean. Nice kitchen so no need to struggle at limited restaurants 3 times per day... Host is friendly and helpful and lives on site. A few things to be aware of- there is WiFi but it is SLOW. I still give five stars because this is not important to a ski/mountain vacation but if you intend on getting any work done, consider a plan B for internet access. A hotspot will probably be faster. Two is- The bed is pretty soft and comfortable, but if you need a lot of sleep back support and a firmer mattress, be careful. Again not a complaint, just an observation to share.

We loved our trip and we will return.

Owner's Response: Thank you again for staying with us and taking the time to write this 5 star review. I appreciate your feed back too. By design, I have made these vacation rentals to be your "Home away from Home". Each condo has it's own pass word protected Wi-Fi and is the fastest Taos offers. An optic cable is in the ground at the base, we're waiting until they bring the service to our complex. Hopefully it will be in this summer. I am sorry you found the bed too soft. All my beds are medium density to accommodate all guest from those who like the bed firm to those who like it soft. That bed has a memory foam topper that can be removed. I wish you would have told me. I could have removed it. Please remind me on your next visit and I can put you in a condo that has a harder bed. I look forward to your next stay. Than you again.

This home is perfect. Everything was beautiful, new, clean, and 1st class. Kelly was the perfect host. You can tell she really cares for her guest. She insured that every single detail was perfect. I would not stay anywhere else in Taos Ski Valley.

My two adult-size boys and I stayed at the St. Moritz for Spring Break and loved it! We were in a one-bedroom at the top of the complex. This is not a ski-in/ski-out but a very short, easy walk to the bunny slope, even in snow boots, and then ski down to the lift. We even watched fireworks from our balcony.

The complex was immaculate and well-equiped. The furnishings and decor was modern, inviting, and warm. The bed was SO COMFY! My boys said even the sofabed was very comfortable.

The kitchen had plenty of dishes, pots and pans, utensils, coffee maker, toaster, a spice rack and salt and pepper. There was even a basket with some granola bars, couple of packages of coffee, creamers, and sweeteners, which was a nice touch. If you're planning on cooking your own meals, you will need to plan to do your grocery shopping before coming to the mountain. Make sure you get ALL the ingredients you will need right down to things like butter and season-all. This is not a complaint, just helping you plan. :)

Kelly was a delight to work with, always responsive. We will definitely be back!!
