About Sara and Robert Bechtold
We lived, worked, and raised our children in the Mt. Washington Valley since 1972. After retiring in 2009, we continued to spend our summers near our friends and family by renting in the Silver Lake area. After searching for a 'summer' home we found the 'perfect place' in Center Conway; close to golf [1 of us has a 12 HDCP!], Conway Lake for kayaking and boating, & near our family but away from the busy town centers!
Sara and Robert Bechtold purchased this House in 2013
What makes this House unique
Our house is an easy drive from the South without going thru Conway Village via Rt. 153 (ask us how)! We are just 3 miles from Maine via Rt. 302. Conway Lake is 1/4 mile away. The Old Mill Estates property has 33 acres of woods & paths, which are open to our guests. The area is quiet but just 5 miles to grocery and Outlet shopping. Mt. Cranmore & King Pine Ski areas are just 8 miles away (15 mins.). Attitash, Black Mtn., & Shawnee Peak are 25 mins and Wildcat or Bretton Woods Ski areas are just 45 minutes away.

Great stay in a beautiful home!!
Comfortable stay with all the luxuries of home!! Clean and spacious! We enjoyed the fireplace, hot tub and tv's in every room! Plenty of space for my family and extended family! Great bonus space downstairs as well! Only 15 minutes from the center of north conway and even closer to outlets and other attractions! We would definitely return!
We loved staying here it was so comfortable and fit my family perfectly!
Glad that you could visit with your family & attend the Fryeburg
Fair! Great weather too!
Fantastic house, great space, with everything you need!
My wife, son and a few friends stayed in this home over MLK weekend and absolutely loved it. The house was clean, the layout and space was perfect, bedrooms great sized, and number of bathrooms (3.5) was a huge plus! The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to cook meals, including spices, foil, etc. Sometimes it's the small things that go a long way! And last but not least, the hot tub right outside the 3 season was the perfect end to day on the slopes. Would highly recommend this rental.
Spacious and Welcoming
We stayed here for a ski weekend over President's Day. The house is in a perfect location close to North Conway Village, but far enough away to escape how hectic that area can get. Pictures do not do this place justice! Rooms were very spacious with a bonus finished basement. The beds were comfortable and the living room very inviting with 4 recliners and a large screen TV for some relaxing apres ski. The kitchen was well equipped and everything was clean. We especially liked the entryway between the garage and the house to put our gear after a day on the slopes. The hot tub was a definite plus, though we rarely used it due to the extreme cold temps (-19 before wind chill, our hair froze just from sitting in the steam!) The house itself was very homey. We will certainly be back, perhaps in the summer so we can enjoy nearby Conway Lake!
Cozy Winter Weekend
We stayed at this house for 3 nights and felt it was a great place! We had 3 families including children stay. The house lay out allowed all of us to stay on seperate floors and have our own bathrooms. Lots of privacy which was awesome. I would recommend this house to anyone! Very clean, quiet, warm and comfortable. Close to all of the shops in Conway. Very easy to deal with the owner. Gas fire place and hot tub were an added plus!
NEW YEARS WEEKEND GETAWAY
We stayed at this house for 3 nights, 5 adults and 3 kids plenty of room. Each family had their own bathroom. I would recommend this house with an extended family. The home was clean, quiet, warm and comfortable, the kitchen was fully stocked. It was close to all of the shops in Conway, and Mt Cranmore. It snowed while we were there and when we were ready to leave the home for the day, the driveway was already plowed. The owners were very easy to communicate with any questions or concerns that we had. Would definitely stay there again. Thank you!!
