'My husband and I were in Portland to surprise our daughter when her boyfriend asked for her hand in marriage! We were lucky to have found this charming little apartment for the week. It was just as the photos indicated - very nicely appointed and sparkling clean. It was in a prime location with great shopping and restaurants all within walking distance. The separate entrance was nice so that we didn't feel like we were intruding on our host family. Since we have a 'new family' in Portland, we will stay in this apartment in a heartbeat!'
'I had such a wonderful time staying in this apartment for the week. It was sparkling clean and had everything anyone could need while away from home. The neighborhood is perfect for walking. There are restaurants, shops, a library, coffee shops, bakeries, and a wonderful grocery store all within walking distance. I really hated to leave! The owner, Traci, is warm and more than accommodating!'
'At the last minute I decided to forgo staying at a hotel and my daughter found this lovely back of house apartment in the beautiful Sellwood neighborhood. It was perfect. Brand new accommodations in a quiet, tree-lined neighborhood where you could walk down the block and enjoy friendly crowd-filled coffee houses, antique stores, restaurants or discover that special organic-find at the local market. The apartment itself was doll-like, very clean (which I am fastidious about!) and could easily have been a model for a pottery barn ad. Perfect in every way. It was filled with everything you would need from coffee pots to silver ware should you chose to eat in. Lots of windows-making my morning coffee (provided by Traci of course) I could open the kitchen window and treat myself to fresh air to start my day. One unique and surprise feature was the heater nestled in the bathroom-a nicety you don't see very often and the bedroom was perfect-large, spacious closets and very comfy. The living room had a fireplace that was both warm and completed the feel of the apartment even if you did have to turn it on with a clicker. I highly recommend staying at this perfect rental and do so for a longer stay-I had only two nights and could have easily stayed for a week! Traci thought of everything and even provided us with a list of places to go and eat in her cardboard binder-she was a splendid host. I give it five stars!'
'My wife and I much enjoyed our stay in this apartment, indeed it is probably the best appointed and most elegantly designed apartment in which we have spent time (a week plus) in many years of travel. It has the advantage of being one of the few 'guesthouses' in Sellwood, so very well located for visitors such as ourselves coming to spend time with family living in that delightful area of Portland. And where else can you see Mt Hood through the kitchen sink window?!'
'The apartment is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. There was a perfectly framed peek-a-boo view of Mt Hood from the kitchen window. It seems newly completed and is located over the garage. The neighborhood has older homes and was great for walking and to many restaurants, Grand Central has coffee and great pastries nearby, Reverend's is delicious southern style BBQ about 2 blocks away, Gino's has a friendly neighborhood bar vibe with gourmet food. It was conveniently located a short (approx. 10 minute) drive to downtown Portland. The hosts were friendly and thoughtful.'
'Wonderful apartment! A brand new house - very very cosy, we did feel like home living there. It has anything you might need for a short or longer staying. Ken and Traci are perfect hosts and they did help us a lot to discover the neighborhood and Portland. We also never had a problem to park our car in front of the house - there was always a free space. Strongly recommended!'
We're a family of native Oregonians with two rescue pups and a Lynx Point Siamese. When we're not working, our favorite activities include traveling, whitewater rafting, renovating old homes, restoring the family’s farmhouse in the country, and trying as many new restaurants as is physically possible.

I know, we're biased. But after living here for over 15 years, we're staunch believers that Sellwood/Westmoreland is one of the best neighborhoods in America. We were lucky enough to be able to build our dream home in our dream location and included an apartment to be able share our love for Sellwood with others.
Located just three miles south of downtown Portland and over the Sellwood Bridge, the Sellwood/Westmoreland neighborhood is brimming with unique shops, delicious dining and fabulous adventures.
Approximately two miles in length and a mile wide, the teardrop-shaped area is rich in natural and recreational amenities. We have four public parks (Westmoreland, Sellwood, Sellwood Riverfront & Johnson Creek), hiking paths (Oaks Bottom Refuge), a public golf course, a bicycle/pedestrian-only thoroughfare (the Springwater Corridor) and the center of Portland's antique shopping.
With a wide variety of shopping and dining choices, our two historic neighborhoods dating from 1876, make it easy to enjoy everything that Sellwood/Westmoreland has to offer.
Excellent location but hardly an easy walk to the orange line. Uber is better. The apartment was perfectly decorated. Quiet. New! Beautiful stove andmicrowave. Yet....It gave the feeling that someone really didn't live there. Llittle available to cook even the simplest lunch. Good news is that the homeowner is very nice and very helpful. Yes, we would stay there again.
Although i want to keep this gem all to myself, I guess I will share :)....Close to airport-thank goodness, adorable community-loved it, great food-walking distance, hospitality-amazing, property-clean, thought was put into the details, perfect. My son kept saying, this is all I need, this is what I want to live in when I'm on my own. Always nervracking not knowing what you are really about to walk into. But this stay settled all those nerves. The photos are true to what you are getting. Shocker! The drive from PDX was easy. The area is adorable, with a quaint downtown feel. We were able to walk to dinner, (although for us folk with bad vision, it is very dark could have used more street lights) but being close enough to walk around was fun and added to the trip. Apartment was perfect. All details were paid attention to from wall to wall floor to ceiling. Son was excited to have a kitchen to cook us dinner on one of the nights while we enjoyed our quiet evening next to the fireplace watching Netflix. Probably my favorite part of the stay was the hospitality and attentiveness Traci bestowed upon us. She truly treated us like guests. Came and introduced herself, offered tons of recommendations on where to go tour, eat, and even where to stay away from at certain times of the day (downtown due to certain activities). She made herself available when she didn't have to. That alone speaks volumes to me and for that, I will definitely return when heading back to Oregon. Thank you, Traci - for everything!
This is a beautiful apartment. It's in a great neighborhood where you can walk to wonderful restaurants, coffee shops and shopping. It's close to Reed College. I've already booked my next stay!
My husband and I have almost exclusively gone to vrbo for vacations now based on our great experiences with them. This one definitely met all the requirements: great for day trips from Portland, brand new look, not overly decorated with 'cutesy' stuff, comfy bed, privacy and CLEAN! What I did not expect was how much fun Sellwood, Moreland area would be to walk around. Just around the corner are markets, restaurants, ice cream, antiques. Loved walking to Sellwood Park a couple of blocks away. I was amazed at how QUIET this home and location was, even with all the businesses on 13th Avenue. Traci was so helpful with providing short, written explanations for arrival and departure and also restaurant recommendations. It was just what we needed! We were within 15-20 minutes of downtown and Washington Park. It took us a couple of hours to get out to Cannon Beach area, but it was really a pretty drive. Book this beautiful home, you will be so glad you did!
This property is in really good condition, very comfortable and ten mintues walk in different directions to Pikes Place and Space Needle. The owner arranged for a very helpful young lady who lives in the same building to check us in and she was very forthcoming with recommendations for local amenities. The artisan bakery and swimming pool both in the complex were added bonuses. I am always concerned with noise and this was as a quite as one can reasonable expect in a city - no neighbour noise and just the slight my audible ventilation shaft from the pool and distant traffic noise both of which we only noticed on first arrival and overall caused us no concern. I would certainly stay here again.
My husband and I were visiting with family in the area. This property was modern, very comfortable, clean and well maintained. The kitchen had all of the equipment one would want. I was very glad to have the washer and dryer. The living area was also modern, comfortable and well lit. The unit is in a residential area but close to stores and restaurants. Traci was in touch with us prior to coming to let us know how to get in and emailed a booklet with lots of information about the unit and the area. She gave us her contact information and answered questions promptly. Once we were there we really didn't need to contact her. I would highly recommend this property.
