About Sebastiano Strumia

I took this selfies of me with my family at the tourist information centre on via dei Fori Imperiali. Yes!We live in Rome but we went on a tour of the Colosseum, the Fori and the Palatine because our children came to visit and because my Roman husband had never done the tour! So, with our three adult children we set off with a guide for a family adventure.

My husband and I love art and I think that our home reflects our passion. We enjoy meeting new people and feel flattered when able to host other families in our special home. This city has so many things to offer that I find it hard to be specific. Let me just say that it can meet interests of all kinds.

I am English and work as an artist and art therapist. I also work part time in a kindergarten that uses the Reggio approach , I fill the role of the atelierista.

Why Sebastiano Strumia chose Colosseo Foro Romano (Coliseum & Roman Forum)

Living in a house in the heart of Rome is quite special. I grew up in a house in London and was used to having my own front door. When my husband and I started looking to buy a property in Rome we saw many ground floor flats with their own entrance, but few had a garden.

What makes this house unique

The location is excellent. The garden makes a perfect place for meals en plain air or just to hang out.

Townhoiuse in Monti

This townhouse is amazing - full of fantastic art and beautifully furnished.

It is over 3 levels with well stocked kitchen and dining area on bottom level, living entry level next and bedrooms on top level. The third bedroom is quite small and more of a study.

Position is fantastic and you can walk to lots of restuarants, metro is close and you can also walk to the Colloseum.

The BEST feature is the glass floors. If you are after somewhere stylish, comfortable and well positioned this is the spot to stay.

Sebastiano was very helpful - I asked about how we made toast and there was a new toaster in the kitchen the next morning.

Modern Hideway in a great location

  • 5 of 5

We recently spent a week in Rome staying at the townhouse. I have rented many times from VRBO and this house was everything as advertised. The house was spacious, clean, with comfortable beds. You can not beat this location as it is a 10 minute walk to the Colloseum and everything else Rome has to offer.

The house is walking distance to many restaurants and cafe's. Plus, there is a grocery store at the end of the street, that stocked everything you need in case you wanted to cook. This was particularly handy for breakfast supplies or a bottle of wine after a long day seeing the sites.

The owner, Sebastiano, was very helpful and responded to anything we required. Even booking a car from the airport to the house and for our departure.

If we return to Rome, we would definitely rent the Townhouse again.

Car: not necessary

The area is rich with trendy boutiques, bespoke and vintage shops, bars and cafés, pizzerias and restaurants. There are other amenities like supermarkets and the tourist information centre all very close by.
