Family Ski Weekend
The cabin was very clean and worked well for our family. There are two rooms and a bathroom downstairs as well as two rooms and a bath upstairs. Our "kids" and friends (18-21 yrs old) slept upstairs while we stayed downstairs. The cabin is very functional, but a bit older, so if you're looking for updates or luxury it would not be for you. There is a Keurig (no regular coffee pot) so be sure to bring K-cups. Also, no kitchen towels or pot holders, so bring those too. Lots of other kitchen supplies. Washer and dryer available as well, which is a plus. Great location for accessing both Heavenly and Sierra-at-Tahoe for skiing. We would stay here again.
My family and I enjoyed our stay. This was a nice cozy place that gave us all a chance to bond.
Great cabin for medium size group.
Decor of the cabin was great. The cabin can hold 10 people, but best with 8 people. Didn't have any issues during the rental period.
The cabin was cute.
My family and I enjoyed our stay here February 18- February 21, 2016. Everything was clean upon arrival. Parking was an issue luckily we only took two vehicle as my dad likes to take his own to be able to drive to the casinos as he pleases. It's states there is a two car garage and plenty of parking. The garage was full so no way to park any cars in there and the driveway is one car wide. We had room for only two Suvs. As one car held kids so if someone wanted to leave we would have to back out for the car closed in. Another small issue is there was one roll of toilet paper supplied for both bathrooms. With a rental so huge and the amount of people who went I would just assume an extra roll would be supplied for each bathroom. Not a big deal but a little out of the ordinary. The light bulb in the living room was burnt out but we didn't feel the need to use it anyways or call to get it fixed. We think of it as being on a trip and shouldn't have to deal with issues. This was also the only cabin we have rented in the past three years that did not supply fire wood. Buying firewood at the store got a little pricey but our family loves the crackle of the fire. If you have little kids the stairs are pretty steep as the huge room is upstairs. The backyard was huge and we were able to let the little ones play outside. However you had to go through the garage to get to it. With all the stuff in there the pathway was a little crammed. The door to the side was very hard to close and lock you had to push your body against it just to close it. This is an issue that looks like it's been like that for some time. So having to go through the front door was a must with the kids. All in all it did the job for a last minute trip.
Great Cabin home for a family vacation!
My family and I had a great experience staying here during the winter break (1 week). We visited South Lake Tahoe to enjoy the local music festival (SnowGlobe) held there at the college, snowboard, play in the snow, and to enjoy the local scene. It's very well kept and has a cozy cabin feel. The place provided all the kitchen amenities that we needed for cooking and all bedding and bath linens were clean upon arrival. The cabin was well heated, which was nice since it snowed quite a bit before our arrival. The owner was terrific and easy to work with. She is responsive and was able to get use extra keys to the place to accommodate our family size. The neighborhood is quiet, relaxing, and provides an excellent scenic view of the surround mountains. The front and back yard was a great place for the kids to place in the snow. Everyone in our group enjoyed themselves, kids and adults alike. With all things considered, I would highly recommend this cabin and consider this place for future vacations.
Our cabin is located in a quiet and well maintained neighborhood. It is within a 10 minute car drive to Heavenly Ski resort, gambling, shows, shopping, dining, skiing, snow boarding, sledding, hiking, biking, ice skating, golf, tennis, swimming, running, and much more.
