About Eric Greene

I am a Naval Architect and my wife is a Landscape Designer. We have lived in Bay Ridge for almost thirty years. I grew up in Manhasset, NY and my wife is from Naples, FL. We met in Boston when I was at MIT and she was at Boston College.

Eric Greene purchased this house in 1996

Why Eric Greene chose Annapolis

This house was one of the bigger homes in Bay Ridge when it was built in the 1940s, as most of the others were summer bungalows. The house is well built so we decided to slowly renovate it over the 18 years that we've owned it. We kept the slate roof and original footprint of the house but opened up the interior to bring the outdoors into each room.

What makes this house unique

We enjoy the 180 degree views of the Chesapeake Bay from our porch and living room. The 100-year old Pin Oak in front provides shade in the summer, as does our large magnolia tree in the back.

We can be out on the Bay on our paddle boards in minutes. Walking, biking and running excursions start right at our doorstep. Stock up your first day because you will want to leave your car parked while you are here.

This house is ideal for entertaining so please inquire about food catering or crab feasts.

Great Location and Hospitality!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great experience staying at this house. It's right on the water with a great view, in an excellent neighborhood and very clean. The owners were very helpful and responsive. We had four generations staying at the house and had 12 people for a few days. The sleeping and eating arrangements accounted for all 12. I recommend this location for those who want a very nice house with a good view and friendly owners.

Navy / Air Force Game Weekend

  • 5 of 5

Unfortunately, Annapolis weather did not cooperate for our trip to Maryland. We landed the same day a Nor'easter decided to move in to the area for 5 days. We made the best of it and had a great time around town and at the Academy. The house was more than comfortable. The house is decorated beautifully and each room is charming and comfortable. Wish we could of spent more time on the wrap around porch enjoying their spectacular view of the Chesapeake Bay and bridge. We highly recommend this house for your time in Annapolis and/or USNA.

Excellent rental for Commissioning Week!

  • 5 of 5

We were late in the rental process and feel lucky to have found such a beautiful home for Commissioning Week, 2015! The house is well-maintained and offers an open floor plan, plenty of sleeping space, a hot tub, laundry, outdoor patio area, and an amazing view of the bay. We met the owners on move in day, which allowed them to show us the around. They also had a manual full of important and useful information. We had three generations staying in the house and everyone had a wonderful time. Watching the Blue Angels from the front lawn was a treat. We easily commuted to the Academy. We highly recommend this home!

Bay Ridge is a unique community nestled on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay in Annapolis, Maryland. The area developed as a destination for travelers from Baltimore & Washington. It once housed a tremendous resort that served as a very popular Victorian destination at the turn of the 20th century.

Without question, the biggest draw of vacationing in Bay Ridge is the natural beauty that surrounds the community. Bay Ridge possesses a heavenly peninsula, happily framed on all sides by the Chesapeake Bay, the Severn River and Lake Ogleton.

Our beaches are great for swimming, sunbathing or launching small boats and our cozy streets are perfect for walking, running or cycling. And downtown Annapolis is less than 5 miles away.
