St.Petersburg is my native city and I would like to share my love to this inimitable city with my guests.
My husband and I visited Russia for the first time in May. Tatiana was excellent and helped us with our Visa required “Invitation Letter” for the entire trip, not just the time we spent at her Apartment.
It was like having a friendly relative helping us – organised ballet tickets, was waiting for us at the airport and took us to the Apartment, she pointed out various tourist spots on the way, provided Metro cards, baked us a cake and had food in the freezer, helped us set up ‘WhatsApp’ to communicate, organised a taxi to take us on to our next accommodation, and lots of helpful information about places in the area.
Our Apartment was a short walk from the Chernaya Rechka Metro (Blue Line) and near the McDonalds. On Wednesday there is a local market outside the metro. Markets had food, clothing and much more at cheap prices. With the Metro card we felt like a local navigating the metro with ease. Advantages of riding the Metro’s is they are attractively decorated with art. We got off and on at each station to view the different artistic designs and significant. Tatiana suggested the main ones of interest. It is only 3 stops away from Nevsky Prospekt where it is near The Church of the Resurrection (the church of the spilled blood) and other main tourist attractions.
The Apartment was clean and roomy with a separate bedroom. Pictures on the website accurately depict the Apartment. We had 5 restful night’s sleep at the apartment. We always felt safe in the area and it was nice to see outside the main tourist area.
Nothing was too much trouble for Tatiana, she warm and inviting. She freely gave her telephone number and encouraged us to text/phone whenever we had a question. St Petersburg will hold special memories in our heart. Thank you so much for your hospitality.
We would definitely recommend staying in this Apartment, especially with the invaluable assistance's Tatiana provides to her guests.
We visited with two teenage kids. Four people felt very comfortable. Apartment could accommodate one more kid, no problem. Place is very close to the subway and 2-3 stops to the city center. Area feels secure, people on the street courteous and helpful. There are many good eating places nearby. Ask Tatiana for recommendations. We liked small pancake stand near subway for our breakfast. For cooking apartment has well equipped kitchen. Buy your vegetables from paddle near subway or on the street. Much better and cheaper than in supermarket nearby. Overall could not find better base to explore Saint Petersburg.
This apartment is conveniently located and very well maintained and equipped. Tatiyana, our host, went out of her way to make us enjoy our stay. She even cooked a cheesecake for us and picked my wife at the airport.
I will definitely stay here again.
Tatyana did her utmost best for us. She's the ideal person to rent an apartment from..
She is well taking care of her guests; invitation for visa was settle.
We are used to travel on our own but it was quite comfortable she picked us up at the train station, she advised us a lot when to visit what.
The ballet at Marinsky was an unforgettable experience !
Her apartment is excellent, so nice to com 'home' there after a long city visit.
I could go on and on, will add some more things

My husband lived in St. Petersburg about 12 years ago, so I was excited to go back with him.
Before our trip, Tatiana was so helpful and very responsive to my never-ending emails. She helped us get our travel visas, offered to buy us ballet tickets for her discounted resident price, and had great suggestions on things to do in the city.
I seriously cannot say enough about her and the apartment. If you are at all nervous, DON'T BE. Her hospitality was well beyond anything I've ever experienced in the United States. She came and picked us up from the airport (during rush hour traffic, mind you). She pointed out landmarks and tourist attractions on the drive to the apartment. She had a treats and traditional savory pies for us in the apartment when we got there. She had detailed maps and instructions on where to find grocery stores, good restaurants, the metro, how to get to harder to lesser known or access cathedrals and palaces, etc. She had fillable metro cards and grocery store discount cards for us to use during the week. She also mentioned that her home is about 10 minutes away from this apartment, so she was available whenever if we had questions or if anything happened. We didn't have to take advantage of that thankfully, but it was really reassuring to know that.
Tatiana was BEYOND helpful, and the apartment was adorable. The photos on this site are exactly right and true to reality. It was very clean, tidy, and had everything we needed. Washing machine, dishwasher, fridge and freezer, iron and ironing board, plenty of hot water, clean bed linens, dishes, stove, microwave, wifi, TV, heating & air conditioning. Plus a great bed to crash on after really long days of sight-seeing.
From the apartment, it was about a 5 minute walk to the metro station (Chernaya Rechka), and a 5 minute walk to the grocery store. It's not downtown, but we liked being away from the busyness. We could not have picked a better location.
St. Petersburg itself was gorgeous. We were there a week with a packed schedule and saw all the major tourist sites. The Hermitage and Palace Square, the Peter and Paul Fortress, St. Isaac's Cathedral, the Mariinsky ballet, Peterhof, the Catherine Palace, Smolny Cathedral, the Yusupov Palace, the Faberge museum & the Church of the Savior on the Spilled Blood.
When we left, Tatiana called a taxi for us to get back to the airport. I genuinely want to be her friend forever. She was so so kind and such a great hostess. THANK YOU!
My positive impressions of our apartment but most of all of Tatiana, our landlady started from the moment I read her advert. I was actually searching for a cozy apartment suitable for my husband and I. Tatiana's first reply to my booking enquiry immediately confirmed my thoughts. We would be so welcome. However, I did not know how to obtain the invitations, the first step for a visa application. Tatiana offered to help us out and in a week we both received our invitations. Another most assuring service was coming to meet us at the airport and not only, she was also a confident guide. I could see she how she loves and knows her beautiful St. Petersburg. Her apartment, our home for a week, was more than I expected.. Her kitchen was complete with a dishwasher and whatever you may need like a toaster , a coffee maker, microwave oven and more. Name it, you've got it! We had a comfortable sofa, great to land on after being out the whole day. There was a fireplace, although it still wasn't that cold but I'm sure it would have been so nice to turn it on in wintertime. The bathroom was very practical with both an enclosed shower and also a hydromassage tub with a shower too. The master bedroom was large and complete with a computer and WIFI access, a must for travelers today. I enjoyed waking up to see sunny mornings through a picture window overlooking Lanskoye shosse at a distance, a wide, busy street.
Each morning it was a short walk to Chernaya Rechka metro station. Right next to this was a magnificent antique villa that will surely catch your attention. Then there was an open market where we found just about everything so typical of Russia from sweets to matrioskas to pretty ushanka winter fur hats or simply, thick, warm and colorful winter socks, one would like to take home as give away presents. Closeby is park with an obelisk with a bas relief of Pushkin. This is the spot where he was killed in a duel which was then an isolated area by the river.
Places to see are each more beautiful than the other. A boat ride along the Neva River gives the tourist an overview of the city. In the evening a sight not to miss is the opening up of the illuminated bridges.
People were undoubtedly so helpful and friendly whever we would go.
Needless to say that in the neighborhood you will find supermarkets, pharmacies, and so many good places to enjoy an excellent Russian meal at a low price. Russian cusine is delicious.
