Our family of four had a great stay in mid September. Gabriele was quick to respond to all of our requests and helped accommodate our 2 and 4 year old boys. Location was fantastic. Quiet street with tons of eating and entertainment options within close walking distance.
A Taste of Old Roma
This apartment is in the fun Trastevere neighborhood with lots of restaurants and night life near by. It's an old apartment and the plumbing was frustrating at times. A cozy space, best suited for couples in my opinion. Gabriel was very accommodating and easy to communicate with.
Comfortable and Quiet in the Heart of Rome
We stayed for a week and will never forget the cozy flat. The apartment is comfortable and we cooked everyday. For two people the size was great. The shower is quite small as other reviews attested. I did not measure, but it seemed about 24inx24in. A larger individual would have a hard time fitting.
Most everything in the apartment was great, clean floors, clean bedding, a mostly clean bathroom and kitchen. The thing that we struggled with was that not everything had been thoroughly cleaned before we arrived. So, I had to wipe out the fridge before putting my groceries in. I had to clean out the toothbrush holder/cup next to the sink. The kitchen scrubs had black mold on them and a dish and fork in the drawer had dried food particles on them. Plus, over the dining-room area, the storage looked a bit trashy with plastic bags, etc... The quality of the frying pan was so poor that everything stuck no matter how much oil we added, not to mention it was tiny.
Other than these things, the house was really great... comfortable bed, peaceful, convenient, great air conditioner, adequate size of kitchen when cooking for two, etc.
First impressions are so important and I am sure Gabriel will improve upon the cleanliness for future guests. The fundamental foundations of the place are all in order.
Very nice little apartment on a quiet street yet close to all that is happening
Small but cozy apartment great for a couple. close to all that is happening. Our host sent a driver to pick us up at the train station and also take us to the airport when we left. Very nice and helpful folks. We really appreciated being in the Trastevere neighborhood with its winding cobble stone streets and bustling nightlife. The apartment is small but has everything you need to have a pleasant stay. The only reason I am giving a 4 star rating rather than a 5 is that the apartment could use a little updating in the bathroom shower and most notably replacing the rug at the foot of the bed that has seen better days. Other than that we very much enjoyed our stay.
Great apartment in a terrific area.
Gabrielle was extremely helpful and accommodating.
Walked everywhere, easy to get to historic sites and museums. Very nice eateries and shops close by but on a very quiet street.
Thank you for making our stay in Rome so memorable.
Quiet & convenient
Gabriel was a great host, very helpful with directions, etc. The room was just right for me and very comfortable. Although I did not cook, the kitchen was well-prepared for those who wish to do so. There was a brief walk to the shops and restaurants of Trastavere, and it took me about 45 minutes to get to the Forum & Colliseum. Even with the night life of Trastavere, the apartment was very quiet.
It is possible to reach the apartment is descending from the Janiculum is coming from Along the Tiber or Viale Trastevere.
Restaurants: Ciak Roman cuisine, specialty grilled meat and game, located in vicolo del 5; Antica pizzeria La Renella in Piazza Trilussa. On request possibility of bicycles free of charge.
