Why Sally Singingtree and Tom Bickford chose Santa Rosa

Sally's Garden Cottage is ideal for smaller parties who don't want the size or added expense of a 3-5 bedroom house. It is perfect for area visitors because of its central location--both within town and in Wine Country.

Guestbook comments from the owner

What a joy to have such friendly, courteous people staying in our home. Sally and I enjoyed our visit with you and your son. You took such great care of our home and left it in immaculate condition. It was difficult to see that anyone had even been there. We would be more than happy to rent to you again at any time and would welcome you with open arms.

Lovely Home, Perfect Location

  • 5 of 5

This cottage is clean, quiet, and comfortable! The beautiful, spacious backyard has a patio with barbecue, table & chairs, and a lovely garden. The house has everything needed to cook, read or watch TV, and sleep; there are ample quality linens and towels. The best part is the proximity to shops and restaurants, all withing walkin distance. Sally and Tom are thoughtful, gracious hosts, who are happy to provide information about the Sonoma area to help make your vacation interesting and enjoyable. We certainly hope to stay here again!

cute cottage

  • 5 of 5

I recently stayed in this cute cottage in Santa Rosa with some friends. The cottage is conveniently located between Sonoma wine vineyards and Napa wine vineyards. The owners provide information on local restaurants and things to do. I also loved that the owners provide natural products to use in their home as opposed to harsh chemicals. This was a bonus for me since I try not to use harsh chemicals. This is listed as sleeping up to 6 people but with one bathroom I would not recommend 6 people. Overall I loved it and recommend this cottage and would go back!

Illinois Mom

  • 5 of 5

I came out from Illinois to visit family spread out around Northern California and needed a good central location that I could use as a base camp. Sally's Garden Cottage exceeded my expectations. The location is great for shopping, dining, and getting to 101 and other major arteries. The cottage is impeccably clean and has a peaceful garden space in back. I harvested herbs for several meals and even gathered a couple of handfuls of strawberries for my dessert one night. Everything is organized and very clear. The stove and laundry facilities are nicer than what I have at home, and Sally and Tom are helpful without being the least bit intrusive. I slept very comfortably each night thanks to the high quality mattress and bedding. I highly recommend this property and will hope to stay here again in future visits.

Charming, Immaculate, Great Location

We loved the cottage. Everything we could think of and more was provided. Basked in the sun in the quiet backyard retreat and found great shopping and cafes right across the street! So close to many wine country attractions.

We enjoyed our stay in Sally's small, clean, comfortable house. Good size living room, eat in kitchen, nice backyard. House is close to Montgomery Village with lots of shops and restaurants. Easy to get to wine country. Spring Lake Park is short drive for nice walk around the tree lined lake.
