The gondola is just 5 minutes away via the town’s “Free Ride” shuttle that stops right outside the door. The home features a private hot tub so you can sooth the muscles and soak in the mountain views after a long day of skiing or hiking/biking. Designated on the National Register of Historic Places, the house was originally built in the late 1800’s as a small cabin and was home to the town blacksmith. It has since been expanded and renovated to a 1700 sqft residence with modern finishes and fixtures – a perfect place to spend your family ski trip or warm weather vacation!
LOCATION – This is the best location in Breckenridge if you want to experience the town without having to drive or shuttle. The home is located on French St. in the middle of town, so it is an easy walk either direction on Main Street to all that the town of Breckenridge has to offer. Restaurants, coffee shops, arts galleries, clothing stores, grocery stores, the theater, and equipment rental facilities are all within walking distance. Carter Park is also a short walk and has a sledding hill for the kids.
SLOPE ACCESS – The free shuttle stops right outside the door every twenty minutes and it is just a 5-minute ride to the gondola – or take it the other direction to head to the Beaver Run lift on Peak 9. With the right footwear (casual shoes/boots or snowboard boots), you can skip the shuttle and take the short walk to the gondola or the Peak 9 village.
HOT TUB – The home features a private Bullfrog Spas hot tub that is recessed into the deck on the side of the house and offers views to the ski resort. A stereo connection inside the house plays music through to the outdoor speakers.
SLEEPING & BATH – Two of the bedrooms have King beds and the third bedroom has a Queen bed. The master bedroom has a large attached bathroom with dual vanity, a double shower, and a jetted tub. The loft bedroom is very private and includes a TV sitting area for two. The second bathroom has a claw foot tub and shower and can be shared by guests staying in the other two bedrooms. For individual comfort, each bedroom is in its own thermostat-controlled heating zone.
LIVING - The living room includes a leather sectional couch and reclining chair. The sectional couch features a pull-out bed with full-sized mattress that may be used for additional sleeping. Another sitting area at the front of the home includes a leather couch and a gas fireplace with views out to French Street and the ski resort.
ENTERTAINMENT – Each of the 3 bedrooms has a Samsung flat-screen TV with live TV, Hulu, and Netflix. An Xbox One in the living room plays games and Blu-Ray/DVD movies on the flat-screen TV and surround sound system. Several Blu-Ray movies and Xbox games are provided along with 4 game controllers. In addition, the home includes several board games, cards, Legos, and a poker set. Sonos speakers are installed throughout the home and can be controlled via your phone to play SiriusXM, Spotify, or other audio sources.
COOKING & DINING – The kitchen is fully-stocked and equipped with modern stainless steel appliances. A 48-inch professional cooktop features a gas range with a grill plate and griddle under a Viking hood. The refrigerator has two icemakers and filtered water. Other appliances include a traditional and Keurig coffeemaker, waffle iron, George Foreman grill, pressure cooker, Crock Pot, blender, toaster, and breakfast sandwich makers. A large wooden dining table offers resort views and seating for 8. There is plenty of cookware, glassware and silverware for larger groups.
PARKING – The home provides dedicated off-street parking for up to two vehicles. Parking is not covered.
OTHER AMENITIES - A washer/dryer unit is available for laundry. Wireless Internet is accessible throughout the home over a fast and reliable Comcast connection, along with a printer if needed. Trash is picked up from the side of the house so you don’t have to worry about putting the trash out on the street.
GUEST SERVICES – I partner with a local rental support company who provide concierge services and 24x7 emergency maintenance response, so guests can benefit from professional lodging support while enjoying an owner-managed private home. Mid-stay cleanings or linen exchanges are available for an additional fee. Guests are provided unique keypad access codes in advance, so 24-hour check-in is available and no desk check-in is required. Check-in time is 4pm MT and check-out time is 10am MT.
