About the property

Fully Refurbished ( Fall 2014), 2 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom Suite - Max 6 Renters

The house is situated at the bottom of sundurst drive with 2 parking spaces. The parking is kept clear by sun peaks property services (sps), as are the stairs down to the suite, which has its own entrance. Cammy and i are usually present over the winter season, but if we are not around, sps can provide help.

A short walk up the road (300m) will put you on connector and access to resort's main ski lifts. If this is too much for the kids, a short drive will put you at one of the main car parks. You can return to within 50m of the house getting to connector via blazer, runaway or tighten yer boots.

The suite is se facing with big windows, high ceilings and receives sun for the majority of the day. The door in the living room provides access to a large flat backyard - great snowman and igloo territory. We occasionally see deer in the backyard.

The kitchen has a full sized stove, fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher. We provide everything you need to cater for your family. See the photos for the full inventory.

There are two bedrooms. Bedroom 1 has a queen bed, dresser, nightstand, mirror and wardrobe. Bedroom 2 has a whister bunk (double, single), single bed, nightstand, dresser, mirror and wardrobe. There is a queen hide abed in the living area for maximum flexibility with sleeping arrangements. Although we max out with 6 renters, there are beds and bedding for 8

The bathroom has a combiation shower/tub, vanity, dedicated hot water and a plentiful supply of towels.

The hot tub is by the door to the apartment. There are some flip flops and beach towels for your use.

The living room allows you to kick back and relax whilst can watch the kids play in the ample backyard. The suite has everything you need to relax at home and is convenient for the village if you wish to venture out. This is a fabulous family location summer and winter.

About Owner/Manager

Cammy is a Teacher in Vancouver working with preschool. I am an IT Consultant and travel extensively for work. As we run in towards retirement, we have bought this house in Sun Peaks as our getaway.

Owner/Manager purchased this apartment in 2012

Why Owner/Manager chose Thompson Okanagan

We love the mountains and particularly winter sports. The Interior provides fabulous snow and Sun Peaks is a vibrant Village that is developing in a lovely manner.

We have been coming to Sun Peaks for ten years and stayed in lots of developments. When we started looking for properties, we took that knowledge to reduce the choice. Condos have high running costs (Strata) and there is a lack of control over neighbors (noise). That sent us to Single Family Homes. This place is in a quiet location and was great value for money.

What makes this apartment unique

Our kids have grown up, but we remember how difficult and expensive it used to be to go skiing. Eating out for every meal just doesn't work with young ones. We have tried to create a family friendly environment.

We have refurbished just about everything and provided you with a great place to hang out and recover after a hard day in the mountains

2nd time staying here. We love the location, quiet residential street, beautiful walk to the village. The place has all you may need, good layout, comfy beds... Will be back.

Great snow!

Clean, comfortable, worked out well. Got lucky with unusually heavy snowfall. Bit of a hike up to the runs, probably too tough for young kids. Bright, above ground basement suite with a great hot tub. Would rent again.

Just What We Needed!

We were a party of 5 - my husband and myself, my sister, her husband and teenage daughter, all set to enjoy skiing at Sun Peaks. The suite at Sunburst Estates was all we needed. It was compact and cosy, with comfortable sofas and beds, and attractive decor. We had to share the hot tub with the owner's guests, but that wasn't a hardship. When we had a slight issue with the door lock, the owner fixed it promptly and with pleasantness. He was there when we needed him but otherwise, left us to ourselves. The only small complaint I had was that though the main areas were clean, cobwebs on the light fixtures and dirt along the baseboards signaled that more than surface care was necessary. But overall, we all came away content with our choice. And we had a wonderful time skiing!

Very clean and nice layout. Cozy little suite in downstairs of home.

Had a very pleasant stay here while enjoying some fantastic skiing at Sun Peaks! Owner was very thorough and efficient both with billing, and information about the home. Would recommend it to others and would stay there again in future if I get back to ski again!
