Great for families with kids

When I write reviews I do them with positives and negatives

Nice Owner who responds quickly, vac broke down and we had a new one the next morning!

Large home, great upstairs especially the room for children. 2 Televisions in lower main floor area

Shallow swimming area

2 dining areas plus outdoors table and chairs

Fire pit with some wood included was great

Large kitchen with dishes and most of what a family would require

2 outdoor parking spots plus in front of house

Quiet neighbors and nice people

Beautiful skyline especially at night, great star viewing

2 Batrooms, top floor new laundry in this bathroom

Kayaks with a couple of life jackets

Aluminum Dock ( though a bit twisted at the end)

Garage though unusable if kayaks are in it.

Great Pool Table and 4 season pour her with a terrible pull out sofa but has the second dining area in it.

Cieling Fans ( see Bad comments)

Drive In Movie Theatre and towns nearby plus semi close to Sleeping Bear Dunes (25 minutes to the main park)

Blueberry Picking near by.

Bed in main level is not for 2 medium size people, uncomfortable and small. Was glad to get back to my bed at home, suitable for a teenager or younger.

A lot of bulbs where burnt out and light in Lower room didn't work

Had to clean the Bathroom floors, kitchen floors and fridge upon arrival.

House is no where near as clean on exterior or interior as pictures show, lots of spider webs outside, exterior needs a power wash and gutters are beginning to look like a Carrabas with what is growing in them

TVs had to be programmed to work which we know how to do however a novice person may not.

Beach is rocky and hard on kids feet, suggest water shoes.

Not quite what we expected for the cost of a Caribbean vacation but it is large and with kids you don't need to worry to much about something getting broken which is a plus.

Fans in lower Room and near staircase where loud and need replacement

Sheetrock work in lower level bathroom needs to be completed and painted.

Stained Carpets but clean, owner should steam clean them.

Upstairs blinds can't be lowered with windows even barely ajared as they bang all night with the slightest breeze, should be changed out.

A new broom is needed to properly sweep.

SUMMARY: great place for families who don't mind a house that they don't need to watch out for every move the kids make and can allow them to go quite far out in the lake without much worry, great drive in near and town of Honor next to it

excellent in every way!

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful house for a family. Excellent location right on the water. The house actually looks nicer in person than it does in the pictures. The kayaks and inner tubes were a welcome addition. Nearby amenities are quite convenient. Wonderful owner as well. I would recommend this house to anyone.

Family Weekend

  • 5 of 5

This was the first year that my Brothers and I decided to do a family vacation together with our spouses and children. This house has a bedroom for 3 couples and the kids loved spending all their time together. We had two beautiful hot days to spend on the water swimming, kayaking, and skiing on our own boat that we brought with us. We did experience two rainy days, but that gave us time to do a short road trip up to the Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes and Lake Michigan. We visited a Light house and took a tour and shopped in some unique stores. We found a great winery (Chateau Fontaine) and sampled some of their award winning table wines.

I would recommend this property to anyone with young children!
