INTRODUCTION: This furnished two bedroom flat – is a bright, fully private large arts and crafts style apartment with a separate entrance, located right in the heart of picturesque Noe (No-ee) Valley. Built on the top level of the building, this well-appointed stylish accommodation is perfect as an executive apartment or vacation rental. It is clean, secure, smoke-free and pet & eco-friendly. It’s ideally suited for one to four persons.

LOCATION: Nestled in the heart of Noe Valley of San Francisco, the flat is uniquely perched overlooking the city and the bay, but without having to climb any hills to get to the house. Noe Valley is also blessed as having one of the sunniest and warmest neighborhoods in the city – an important consideration here in San Francisco. And Noe Valley is known for its up-scale desirability and charm -- boasting trendy restaurants, bakeries, wine & cheese shops, fashionable apparel boutiques, floral shops and public transportation. Other rentals like to say they are located near Noe Valley, but this space is right in the middle of it.

SIZE & LAYOUT: Ascending one flight of stairs from the street accesses the portico and front door. It has an entry hall, large living room, formal dining room as well as a separate kitchen with a built-in breakfast bar and a full size bath. The two bedrooms adjoin a private deck with a spectacular panoramic view of the city and the bay.

QUALITY FURNISHINGS: Appointed with high-quality mission style furniture, the living room includes a leather couch & chairs, a rocking chair, solid oak coffee & end tables and an antique sideboard. A working fireplace and original artwork complete this warm and inviting space. A mission style dining set for six with a built-in period hutch adorn the formal dining room. The master bedroom and second bedroom, also decorated in mission style, boasts queen-size beds with nightstands and a dresser. The kitchen features a breakfast bar with three chairs. Original, elegant wall hangings and area rugs enhance the penthouse’s ambiance.

PRIVATE DECK: You’ll enjoy exclusive use of your own spacious wood deck featuring a beautiful view of the bay, the city and the garden below. You will find that this space can be a tranquil sanctuary in the middle of the bustling city. Deck furniture includes a gas BBQ, a patio dining set with an umbrella and a gas heat lamp.

WELCOME GIFT: It is our pleasure to present you with a welcome gift of a bottle of wine upon your arrival. Complimentary coffee and tea are also included.

BUSINESS AMENITIES: Secure, high-speed wireless internet and a shared laser printer/copier/fax machine is available for your use. “3G” & “4G” cell phone reception is excellent.

ENTERTAINMENT: A 42” flat-screen HDTV, equipped with a DVD/CD player and cable box is installed. Local & premium cable channels plus many free on-demand programs and more are available. An I-pod compatible stereo alarm clock is also provided in the bedroom.

FULLY EQUIPPED STAINLESS-STEEL KITCHEN: This period-like kitchen is equipped with all the higher end modern appliances, such as a double basin sink with disposal, an ultra quiet Bosch automatic dishwasher, a professional DCS five-burner gas range, a French-door style refrigerator/freezer, a coffee maker, toaster oven, hand-blender, and an 1100-watt microwave. High quality kitchen utensils, dishes, glassware, flatware and cookware also provided.

SLEEPING ACCOMMODATIONS FOR FOUR, plus: You’ll have sweet dreams on either queen-sized premium memory-foam mattress. All linens are high thread-count cotton sheets. An inflatable queen-size mattress is also available upon request, which is great for the kids!

PRIVATE BATH: A full size tub/shower and a designer sink and commode as well as a large toiletry cabinet complete this period style bathroom. All cotton bath towels, quality soap, shampoo and conditioner are provided.

SEPARATE SHARED LAUNDRY ROOM: A modern washer/gas dryer, utility sink and iron with ironing board, spray starch, detergent and dryer sheets are also available for your use, free of charge.

MAID SERVICE: Towel/linen exchange and maid service is provided once a week for stays up to one month. For stays beyond one month, towel/linen exchange is provided once a week and a cleaning service is provided every third week.

TRANSIT & PARKING: We are just steps away from the Muni streetcars (J & F-lines) and busses (48-line), the Genentech & Google shuttle coaches and a ten minute walk to BART (24th St Station) and the 24 bus line. This makes getting around town a breeze without a car. Street parking is also available.

LOCAL CONVENIENCES: A “Whole Foods” super-market is a four-minute walk away. Additionally, a convenience store is within a baseball throw from the house, as is a dry cleaning/laundry business. Numerous banks and real-estate agencies are also close-by.

WALKING: We recommend exploring Noe Valley on foot (WalkScore of 97 out of 100; see “Walker's Paradise”). Noe Valley is a safe, well-lit, police patrolled, up-scale neighborhood that is pedestrian friendly. Loads of charming, eye-popping Victorian homes that escaped the fire of 1906 adorn the neighborhood.

FITNESS & BICYCLING: Two local fitness clubs are right around the corner and Castro’s fully equipped two-story gym is a short streetcar ride away. Bicycle rentals are just down the street.

TOURISM: There is no shortage of things to see and do in San Francisco and the greater bay area. We will provide maps and tourist information for you on request and we would be delighted to answer any questions, provide directions or supply insider’s tips on having fun here in the “city by the bay.” We have over forty years of combined living experience here in town and we are happy to share it with you.

PET-FRIENDLY: Your quiet, friendly dog (under 60 pounds) or cat is welcomed here at the “Little Yellow House.” Large, lockable doggy doors lead to the backyard for safe 24/7 pet relief and we will take care of any backyard clean up. (Backyard is restricted to pets only.) An enclosed kitty litter box is also available for your cat’s use. A doggy/kitty-cat bed is also provided for your pet.

ECO-FRIENDLY: This apartment is equipped with roof-top electric solar panels, hard-wood floors and decks, environmentally friendly insulation, energy conserving light bulbs, motion activated switches, energy-saving appliances, water-conserving toilets & shower heads, a new large-capacity gas-saving water heater and a central-air heater with an easy to use smart thermostat.

Guestbook comments from the owner

My stay in The BayView Suite was about as close to perfect as you can hope for. I was traveling to San Francisco for business, and, having lived in Noe Valley for two years, wanted to stay in a more desirable residential area than Union Square. Not only was the location of their place perfect, but the unit was clean, comfortable, safe and beautifully decorated. TheBayView Suite has every convenience you could need for any visit to the Bay Area, be it short or extended. San Francisco is an amazing city, and you want to spend as much time out and about as possible, but being able to "come home" to The Little Yellow House each day also will be a highlight for anyone that stay's in Lee's and Bob's home. My only regret is not spending more time on the back deck soaking in the sun!

Incredible place.

  • 5 of 5

Our family of four had a wonderful stay. What a beautiful place! So well organized. Walt was very helpful answering questions and helping us out. The view from the back deck is something to behold. You don't get the real feel for it from the pictures. Having lived in SF for 15 years, i can honestly say that this is one of the nicer places i have stayed in!

Wonderful space and great hosts!

  • 5 of 5

This apartment is gorgeous! It comfortably slept six adults, and we spent lots of time hanging out in the kitchen and living room and especially on the deck (you won't believe the view until you see it with your own eyes). The location was convenient to pretty much everything, and there were a great coffee shop (Martha and Bros) and bakery (La Boulangerie) right down the street, so we were well supplied with caffeine and croissants every morning. Between the Muni, BART, Lyft, and walking (I'm sure those hills were good for us), getting around was a breeze, and we were always excited to return to the house in the evening.

Walt and Rob were super helpful and prompt to respond throughout our stay, and very fun to talk to. Would definitely recommend their place to anyone visiting SF!

Great place to stay

  • 5 of 5

Everything about this place was fantastic. The location is ideal - quiet, walkable, away from the crowds, but with plenty of local options for dining, groceries, and shopping, and within easy reach by public transport or cheap rideshare to all the tourist locations we wanted to visit. We especially enjoyed walking a few blocks to Castro Street for great dining, and to Valencia for cool shopping. The bedrooms are away from the street and are very quiet, with lovely views off the back patio and super comfortable beds & linens. The bathroom is light and airy with a great shower & fluffy towels. Our hosts were gracious and responsive. All in all a wonderful stay.

Cosy and Clean Apartment in the Heart of Noe Valley

  • 5 of 5

My husband, mum and I loved our stay here. Rob and Walt thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. We loved the area - so close to great bagels, mexican food, a Wholefoods and transport. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this wonderful property, and we will definitely stay here the next time we visit San Francisco. Thanks Rob and Walt!

A nice home

  • 5 of 5

We had a great experience. This is located in a nice neighborhood close to many restaurants and a Whole Foods. Very easy access to public transportation. The rental unit was very clean spacious and had everything we could ever need for our stay. The deck was nice for coffee in the morning to watch the sunrise, and also nice to sit outside in the evening with an awesome view of the city lights.
