Beautiful private getaway for my husband & I. Much better than any local hotel!

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay at Moore's country retreat. The local VRBO offerings are scarce & that's too bad because it is a very beautiful & rural area to visit. Owner was a pleasure to work with and supplied a clean comfortable home with all amenities. Thank you for sharing your lovely home. If we visit this area again in the future, I hope it is available. If you're an experienced VRBO guest you will appreciate this rural home in a beautiful & very scenic location close to Wayne National Forest & the tri-state area. It was perfect for us. Coffee on the back patio in the am was great, saw lots of birds. And in the evenings we heard the frogs' chorus and turkeys calling. Great experience!

The house met our every need. It was very clean and the owner, Julie, was helpful and friendly. She did everything to make us feel welcomed. It was a bit dated and the lighting could have been better in the living room, but for a week's stay, it was fine. We especially liked the kitchen and we used it everyday. I would recommend this rental and use it again, if I needed to.

creepy

  • 1 of 5

We saw the commercial for home away.com. It said rent the "WHOLE" house. Not so.

We were 5 hours into our trip there when I get a text telling me where to find the keys and oh yeah, don't mind the tenet in the basement! WHAT!! CREEPY!! We asked to be let out of the rental only to get a call from Julie. She informed me they do not run a shady outfit and she would have the MAN stay with her.

Not having a way to officially protest at that time we went ahead and stayed at the house. Arriving at the house we find the yard badly needing mowed. In the house were, spider webs, dead bugs, and one of the largest spiders I have seen. No burn pit as advertised, unless you count the rusted out barrel, half full of trash. We were exhausted from the trip so we wanted to sleep, but you don't get much rest sleeping with one eye open!

We decided to cut our trip short and head for home, not staying the second night we paid for.
