Rent our country home in the beautiful Brazos canyon in northern New Mexico. This cozy house is located in a ponderosa forest on the edge of the bosque, about 200 yards from the Brazos River. The area has abundant wildlife including a wide variety of birds, deer, elk, and even the occasional bear!
Both Heron and El Vado reservoirs and southern Colorado mountains are nearby. The house is a great launch point for fishing, hunting, hiking, rock-climbing, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling and other outdoor adventures.
Full kitchen, laundry, Internet/Dish TV, gas fireplace, outdoor fire pit and other amenities included.
Pretty area, comfortable house, plenty of room for our party of 3 couples. Short walk to pretty Brazos River. A little close to landlords house next door, though they didn't intrude. This time if year (late Oct.) was just gorgeous!!! Fall colors abound in the mountains. Don't miss the fabulous Cumbre Toltec train ride!!!
We had a great stay in this lovely home. Well equipped, clean, spacious and comfortable.
We had a pleasant time at KC's cabin/house. The area was quiet and the home was spacious and comfortable. The fire pit was fired up by the owners one night, but we were too exhausted to go out and enjoy it. During our stay the river was low, but that is to be expected during September.
We enjoyed our stay! Thank you.
K C Allen was a great host and the property was everything it was advertised to be. Great accommodations close to the Brazos River and several area lakes. Wonderful, peaceful setting with a variety of wildlife to watch. Would recommend to friends and family. Thank you KC!
We loved the cabin. It was very quiet and peaceful! It had plenty of room. The kitchen was perfect.
We have an annual family reunion in the area and needed extra beds for "overflow". This place was the perfect spot!
The house was clean, comfortable and inviting. The owners are very friendly and accommodating.
I would, and already have recommended it to friends. :-)
If you have the time, ride the Cumbres & Toltec train. I've ridden it several times and am never disappointed. The views are spectacular!
We also love the Mexican food at High Country in Chama.
The property is located southeast of Chama, NM in the Brazos Canyon. it is approximately 4 miles east on NM 512. Look for the "Calle Oso Rojo" street sign on the right. There is a yellow gate with 3 red bears on it. Access information will be provided prior to check-in date.
