Perfect location for our weekend ski trip and close to downtown Flagstaff.

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay. We had everything that we needed and this place is so cozy and inviting. The kitchen area was tastefully refurbished as you can tell from the photos. We knew the bathrooms were not yet done but it was totally fine. We stayed for three nights. Kristen was responsive to all of my questions in a timely manner. We will definitely try to reserve this place again in the summer or the winter. The bistro lights in the back yard are a nice touch too. My boys had fun playing in the fenced in backyard in the snow. This was perfect size for our group of three adults and two kids. We also made use of the gas fireplace. There is a lot of charm about this property and the owner goes above and beyond with extra little touches. It exceeded our expectations. They even had a Keurig coffee maker and we were able to bring our favorite K-cups. The kitchen is well stocked with pans, kitchen utensils or items that you would need to cook while you are there! We loved cooking on the gas stove too! Thanks so much for everything. Terry & Melissa Minich

Flagstaff visit

  • 4 of 5

Thank you for sharing your lovely home with our family. We loved the kitchen and all of your decorating touches. We cooked many meals and also used the grill in the backyard. Your house was very comfortable and convenient for our stay in Flagstaff with our kids and grandkids. The guys loved the "man cave" for watching TV - even though Grampa and I had trouble figuring out the TV - the kids helped us! Would definitely consider returning for another visit. Thanks again - Hendrick family

Great weekend getaway!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I spent the weekend here recently and we were super happy with the accommodations. The house was updated, everything was clean, and it was so comfortable. I was a little nervous because of some of the reviews about the bathrooms but they were fine! The bathrooms might be dated but everything is well cared for and clean. The house was fully stocked with anything we might need. My family and I woukd definitely rent here again.

Ski weekend

  • 4 of 5

We arrive to the home on Christmas night. Cold outside and lots of snow and both families excited to arrive. We could not get into the home despite the code provided. I called the owners number and left message we needed assistance. Had kids jump back in truck to stay warm. My sister kept calling owners number and she was reached after around 10-15 minutes and it turned out the instructions to get into home (though lock box) was incorrect. Owner gave us new code and got right in.

The family had left us on their Christmas tree which was so very sweet! Small tasteful christmas decorations around the home were lovely.

The kitchen was fully stocked for all our needs to cook dinner and breakfasts.

I am sure they have the bathrooms come up. Though described in VRBO as 'antique', The peeling wall paint and stains in grout were more than this. We can oversee a lot and the pink bath wasn't too bad but went into second bath, it was really bad. the above and shower curtain with mold on. Felt a but concerned for kids to take a bath so we did not allow. The toilet in the second bath also wouldn't flush but this was fixed the same day we reported to owner along with dripping shower in bath one. We forgot to report the dripping bath one sink.

Linens were clean and well picked as quality. Plenty of pillows and towels for all. Love the wash cloths that had different names on them to keep track of when family all in same shower : ) Loved too the 'hotel' samples left in bathrooms to use in case someone did not bring their own,

Fireplace kept us toasty warm and central heat as well worked well. Rooms all tastefully decorated and lovely accessories thought home. Having washer dryer was a plus for dirty ski pants and under garments worn for the kids.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay in Flagstaff and we skied and snowboarded 2 days and it was nice to just come home to fix dinner and relax without waiting downtown for dinner. Also great in the morning for a quick breakfast and off to the slopes : ) Thank you for sharing your home with us and may you all have a great New Year.

Flagstaff is beautiful and the location was perfect!

  • 3 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Flagstaff. While this home met our needs it lacks a few basics. While the kitchen was updated and gorgeous, the bathrooms were old and outdated. The bedrooms are decent size but there were no closets available in which to hang things. Finally the lack of basic cable was very disappointing. After a day of sightseeing we look forward to relaxing after dinner by catching up on the news. Fortunately we were able to connect our iPad to the wifi and catch up that way.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your stay Tami, we appreciate you leaving the house clean and organized! I apologize the bathrooms are a contrast to the new kitchen but I do want to be clear that the "1960's original" bathrooms are noted in text & pictures. I apologize the TV/cable was inconvenient for you and your guests we will consider that going forward. We do offer Netflix, Hulu, and Sling which has 40+ channels including CNN, FOX & NBC. I also want to note that there are empty dressers in every bedroom and a empty hall closet and one bedroom closet to hang clothes. Thank you again & we are glad you enjoyed Flagstaff!
