We encourage you to visit our first national park, Yellowstone, filled with geysers, bison, wolves and grizzly bears. It is truly spectacular. In the winter, we recommend a 4WD/AWD vehicle.

About Pamela Poon
We are two professionals who enjoy travel and outdoor activity. We have traveled extensively in Asia and some in Europe, Mexico, and the South Pacific. One or both of us enjoy rock and ice climbing, back-country and downhill skiing, and backpacking in wilderness areas. We are also love to read and go to local theater and performing arts events. We have two grown daughters who live in California and come home to visit when they can. We also have a very friendly 4 year old golden retriever.
Pamela Poon purchased this Apartment in 1998
Why Pamela Poon chose Bozeman
We chose this property because we enjoy the peace of a rural mountain life. The air is clear, red-tail hawks, great-horned owls and coyotes often sing us to sleep. We see snowshoe hares dance in the winter-and the occasional black bear comes by in the fall!
What makes this Apartment unique
We are surrounded by more than 1000 acres of undeveloped land, but are close to town for work and entertainment. The mountain views from our house are splendid and the lights of town are terrific at night. Coffeehouses, an artisanal bakery, and even Walmart are ten minutes away but we away from it all too.
Nice apartment & Great Time
We had a nice time and enjoyed the sounds and experience of witnessing herding cattle. Stayed outdoors as much as possible enjoying the deck and surrounding area. A little challenging to find so I would not recommend trying this at night. Great time and great views and great hosts. Thank You
Very accommodating hosts and sweet space.
Well worth the few minutes drive from town to enjoy the great view and open feel!
Dear Pam--Thank you for the positive review. Also thanks so much for helping bring a gift to my aunt who lives near you. Small world indeed!
We enjoyed our stay at Big Gulch. Pamela and Robin were very nice.
Great place with a beautiful view of the city. Just the right distance from town. The apartment was great. It was very nice with plenty of room.
Dear Chris and Chris:
Thank you for the positive review and for staying with us. It was great getting to you know you!

Nice spot above town
Pam is a great hostess. We enjoyed the feeling of getting out of town a bit. We liked the full kitchen and spacious bath with washer and dryer. This is a great spot for a single or a couple. It is a little tricky to reach. Visitors must be able to maneuver steps. Pam is a good communicator to her guests.
Thank you for the review and we are glad you enjoyed your stay. Thanks also for the feedback about the steps. We do mention that our place is reachable by steps but I will take a second look to make sure that is obvious to guests.
Pam's apartment is perfectly perched up above Bozeman. Once down the hill, the neighborhood across the train tracks is growing. There is an woodworking art gallery, a nice bakery, another coffee shop, and plenty of neighbors. The apartment is a lovely way to end a day of window shopping, and/or dropping off your freshman daughter to MSU :) My husband and I enjoyed a beer, looking out on the lights of town at night, and a cup of coffee in the morning, watching the hikers and dog-walkers on the trails.
Pam is attentive to guests, and very responsive when a guest has a question. We will definitely want to stay with her again. Thanks Pam!
Gorgeous view, peaceful setting
Although it feels miles away from the roaring crowd, it is a quick 5 minute drive to town from this lovely apartment, which is on the ground floor of a house perched on the side of a hill overlooking the valley and distant mountains. The accommodations are spacious, clean, and well appointed. Sitting on the deck while eating lunch and watching and listening to the birds come and go was a wonderful opportunity to take in the countryside and relax. We couldn't be more enthusiastic about this rental!!
Thanks so much for choosing Big Gulch Drive. We too love the quiet and beauty of our spot in the country but close to town--we are glad you enjoyed it, too.
Only two miles from downtown, 90 minutes from Yellowstone National Park, 20 minutes from Bridger Bowl and Bohart Ranch (downhill and xc ski) and one hour from Big Sky-Moonlight Basin Ski Resorts. Fifteen minutes from Montana State University and the Museum of the Rockies.
