The house was amazing! Everything was perfect - thank you!
We had a wonderful stay at your beautiful home!
Perfect in every way! Gina was so nice and accommodating, the house was literally a dream home on its own hill, private and secluded but 5 minutes from the mountain. We had a group of 10 and everyone was so impressed with how perfect the house was. Huge stone fireplace with big open living room leading to beautiful kitchen. Big hot tub, plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. Perfect winter getaway. Stay here you won't regret it.
Presidents Day ski vacation
Our family of 5, including our lazy, well-mannered English Mastiff stayed at this wonderful VT Farmhouse for 4 days during a long President's Day ski trip. The house was as beautiful as it was functional. The use of the garage for our car was a bonus as the temperatures that weekend didn't get above -2 degrees! Because of the bitterly cold weather our Okemo ski time was short, but we were thankful to have the huge, warm mudroom to store and dry all of our ski boots, gloves, helmets, hats, coats and pants after some ski runs. The house is a little over 5 minutes from the base of Okemo and the village of Ludlow, which has some great stores and restaurants. The layout of the house was perfect for our family as we huddled by the fire each night and played games (there are 100s of them at the house) and watched some t.v.. The large, well-equipped kitchen was put to good use as we made dinner every night on the gas range and enjoyed talking amongst ourselves at the large wooden dining table. Our children aged 14, 11, and 8 enjoyed the warm "fun room" above the garage. There they played foosball and some video games when Winter Storm Neptune arrived with snow and winds gusting to 30mph. The bedroom and bathroom layouts and overall cleanliness of the house were excellent; we just could have used some more paper products (but we just bought them in the village supermarket). Prior to our arrival, the owner mentioned that most old VT Farmhouses have some house flies in them and this home did - as well as some ladybugs! It was unfortunate that there was almost 3 feet of snow on the ice skating pond and on the massive sledding hill because they would have been super fun to use! We tried very hard to make sledding paths, but the snow was just too deep and then more snow fell! We would certainly love to rent this lovely vacation home again! Thank you, Gina and family!
