About the property

3-bedroom, 2.5 Bath, Mountain Home Just 8 Minutes From Tahoe City & Kings Beach!

This warm and bright home is perfect for entertaining with a great room/open floor plan, vaulted ceilings, and multiple large windows to enjoy the beautiful forest views. Step outside and take in the mountain fresh air on either of the two large decks that overlook the backyard. The location of this mountain home is ideal; close to Tahoe National Forest land, and just up the hill from Lake Tahoe, settled in a cute neighborhood.

Inside the home:

The main living space is upstairs on the 2nd floor. With the open floor plan the arrangement is great for entertaining and socializing. The spacious kitchen has a gas stove, dual ovens, a dishwasher, plenty of cabinets and counter space, and is fully equipped with all the necessary kitchen accessories. On the other side of the kitchen counter sit a few barstools, and the dining area with a nice wood and wrought iron table that comfortably seats 6. Also in this expansive great room is a brand new sectional sofa with chaise, and a large flat screen TV, ready with cable, wifi, a DVD player, and a Nintendo Wii system (several games & dvds also onsite). Just to the side of the TV watching area is another space to relax in front of the gas fireplace, set up with a warm throw rug, comfy armchairs and angled so two people can pleasantly enjoy a roaring fire or a good book.

Just off the great room is a wonderful deck for outdoor entertaining, in the non-winter months it is nicely furnished with lounge chairs, patio seating area, an umbrella, and two 3-burner BBQ grills. The stairs running down from the upper deck connect to the even larger lower deck, which houses the 6-person hot tub and grants access to the hammock.

Also on the 2nd floor is a half-bath in close proximity to the great room, and the master bedroom and bathroom. Within the master bedroom is a queen four-post bed, an armoire, and a large master bathroom with side-by-side sinks, a walk-in shower, and a Jacuzzi tub.

On the 1st floor is another full bathroom and two bedrooms both with queen beds, dressers, and plenty of closet space. The bedroom on the backside of the house has a sliding glass door that opens unto the lower deck with the 6-person hot tub. Also on the 1st floor is a washer and dryer for laundry, and access to the garage.

The garage has been quote-unquote, converted, into a game room which includes a beautifully crafted 8ft. pool table, regulation size ping pong table, and a staple-free bristle dartboard, great for adult socializing. Children are not permitted to use any of this equipment without direct adult supervision. The equipment is expensive and dangerous, please use with care.

Due to the garage being converted into a game room, it only allows for one regular-sized vehicle to be parked inside the garage. Any large or additional vehicles will need to be parked in the driveway, which can fit 4-6 vehicles depending on size and snowpack.

Entire house has SONOS speakers for seamless integrated music through the home.

Outside the home:

This home is in a perfect location for many interests and activities.

3 minute walk to Tahoe National Forest for hiking, mountain biking, and snowshoeing.

2 minute drive to Garwoods Grill & Pier and public beach.

8 minute drive to Tahoe City for the marina, shopping, restaurants, ect.

8 minute drive to Kings Beach for beaches, shopping, restaurants, ect.

20 minute drive to Squaw, Alpine, Northstar, and Homewood ski resorts.

**For this home location AWD/4WD capability is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED in snowy winter months**

Sounds like the perfect Tahoe retreat because it is just that… perfect.

I enjoy movies, music, and good food. I am a poker fanatic, entrepreneur, social worker, and a snowboarder. I'm happily married and we love to travel together, and we fully enjoy our Tahoe trips.

This new house in Tahoe may be new to the rental market, but we are not new to renting, and all our previous guests have been very happy with their stay in our Tahoe home, and other rentals... and you will too. I swear.

Thanksgiving getaway

  • 5 of 5

My wife and i were joined by two of our adult children for a fantastic stay over the Thanksgiving holiday. The fully equipped kitchen had everything we needed to make a traditional dinner (except for the turkey and aluminum pan). This house was quite comfy for 4 adults, and could have accomodated a few children. Plenty of hiking within 10-15 minutes driving. Billiards, darts and table tennis in the garage. The house sits about 5 blocks up a steep hill from the lake, very convenient location. Weather was great for us, but tire chains would have been needed in snowy or icy conditions to get up to the house.

Fantastic property - one we hope to rent again!

  • 5 of 5

We recently stayed at this house for a 15 night vacation over the Xmas and New Year period. The house is really great and one we'd recommend without hesitation. The online photos don't do it justice! The three beds are all really comfortable as is the lounge area with plenty of room to relax. The house has numerous DVDs to use which is great for a movie night in as well as a WII with heaps of games that all work. The extra facilities such as the games room in the converted garage is a brilliant addition to the house. The hot tub is exceptional - so clean and new providing a perfect way to end the day. The kitchen has everything you need for your stay. Almost all rooms have a sonos player in them so you can play your favourite music all around the house. The wi-fi didn't let us down once either which it often does in rentals/hotels. The owner is great at being in touch and providing all the services you need such as snow clearing, cleaning and hot tub maintainance. We've stayed in many rentals in the North Lake Tahoe area before and this house ranks right up there. The location is in a large residential area full of lovely homes and is so quiet you don't hear a sound. It's just a 10 minute drive to either Kings Beach area or Tahoe City where you'll find restaurants and supermarkets etc. A truly outstanding property and one we'd recommend without hesitation. Hope to be back next year!! Thanks to the owner for letting us stay and providing life long wonderful memories for our family.

Loved our stay!

  • 5 of 5

We had the best time in Tahoe. We were very lucky for staying in North Tahoe our first time in Tahoe as it is has less crowds and the house was perfect for our group which was two couples. Sandy was a pleasure to work with....friendly and prompt . The house was exactly what I expected which was beautiful, clean, and had all we needed for our stay and more! We loved the outdoor area and grill .... The neighborhood dog named Thor visited every time we lit the bbq! We also love the spa after long days of riding on our Harley's it was a great way to unwind and relax. Sandy has thought of everything.... From beach chairs to poker chips this awesome house had it all. We are home safe but missing Tahoe. I was reluctant to give this house 5 stars as I want to keep this as our secret Tahoe spot for the future visits. But...I hope if you've booked it already you have the same wonderful stay as we did.

Perfect Tahoe House, complete with all the amenities!

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved this house. It was perfect for three couples - it's hard to find a place in Tahoe with a third queen bed rather than bunkbeds so this was awesome. It was impeccably clean, fully stocked, and so comfortable. Everything was as described in the listing. The location is great - right in between Tahoe City and Kings Beach, so you're surrounded by shopping and restaurants, and close to a bunch of great mountains (Squaw, Alpine, Northstar, Homewood, etc.). Sandy was a gem and responded quickly to every email and made sure we had a really easy, relaxing stay. This is going to become our new go-to Tahoe house. Loved it.
