2 bedroom 2 bath house located approximately 0.8 mile from Sombrero Beach. Located on a deep boating canal with 50' of canal front & 25' of dock space. Covered parking for up to 3 cars. Saturday to Saturday bookings preferred in the summer months. Bring your boat or hire a local charter captain & enjoy some of the best fishing in the country. There are also limitless scuba/snorkeling spots nearby. You can explore the entire Florida Keys chain of islands, as Marathon is centrally located, making day trips a breeze ranging from Key Largo down to Key West.

We've been enjoying the Keys since 2008. Great beaches, fishing, snorkeling & dining. We love the Marathon area because it isn't as busy as Key West & much less crowded. Very affordable & can be split between 2 couples. Will sleep up to 6 with the credenza bed in the living room. Plenty of covered parking. Canal front for your boat. Free standing house, so no shared walls like you would experience in a condo or hotel.

Great for us

Booking was easy and the VRBO experience just got better from there. Glen was quick to respond to emails and once we were there was an available friend. This was a trip for 2 couples and although this is a 2 bed/2 bath, the couple with the master bedroom does get a better deal (king bed, private bath, more closets). We found all the beds very comfortable. The kitchen was small with nice counter space but no storage area. It was well stocked with items you might need/use but not over-packed with junk left by previous renters. One review said the couches needed replaced and maybe they were new because we thought they were comfortable and appreciated the several recliners on it. We didn't use the "interesting" bed in the den but it looked like it would have been handy if needed. The Wi-Fi was good. The A/C had trouble keeping things cool during the day if we left the blinds/curtains open but closing them when you leave corrects that for the most part. Can't beat the location. I frequently walked to the beach (10-15 minutes) and/or to shopping (also 10-15 minutes) each day. The shopping center has a Winn-Dixie, K-Mart, Publix, liquor store and mailing center so everything is right there.

Nice beds, front porch toward canal, and shaded parking for our rental vehicle.

Bring your own hand/bath soap, & wash clothes. No pantry for food storage. Owner, Glen, very quick to answer and solve other questions. Couches need to be replaced or recushioned badly. Furnace filter was caked solid -- we vacuumed. No ice maker. Overall nice rental.

Some information don't know until we arrived and is in a paper in the refrigerator we think is better to send to the email to the person who is renting .I recommend this property I like it
