Great entertainment location!

  • 5 of 5

We rented this property beginning after Christmas and stayed until after New Year's Day. My sister was married during our stay and we used the home to host both the rehearsal dinner the night prior to the wedding and then a dinner/informal gathering for everyone still in town the evening of the day after the wedding. The property was very suitable for both of these events. Having 2 kitchen spaces made it easy to separate the food/drink for entertaining from our personal food/drink. The lower level was very open making visiting as a group very easy. The large TV on the lower level made watching bowl games convenient while entertaining. The upper level was fantastic for photographs of the bride/bridesmaids ready for the wedding and the lower level was great for hair and make-up. There were ample bedrooms and bathrooms. We had no issues with multiple people getting ready at the same time for multiple events.

There are a few quirks to this property that could be important to some guests. We had 2 vehicles that we had to park on a perpendicular street because of parking regulations in the area. We didn't have any issues with the vehicles being left there. The stairs to the upper level are a bit steep and narrow and would be difficult to maneuver for guest with mobility issues. The outside entry to the lower level passes through a narrow space and again could be an issue for those with mobility issues. The inner stairs between units is a narrow spiral staircase and could again be an issue. For the most part we had no issues though transferring luggage was slightly challenging. There is a bar on the adjacent corner and we did notice occasional noise from this and the adjoining properties. It was not an amount that detracted from our stay.

The location of this property was also great for our group. We were close enough to the French Quarter and Frenchmen Street to walk when we were shopping/site seeing/listening to music. It was also well outside the area where streets were blocked for New Years events and that was convenient for us.

Overall we had a wonderful experience at this property and it suited our needs perfectly. I would choose to stay in this location again if visiting with a large group.

Very pretty and well kept/great neighborhood

  • 5 of 5

The house is very pretty and well kept. Great area of town and in close walking distance to many wonderful restaurants. We decided to get married in the Quarter and encountered this house for our family. After staying we would have considered it for our wedding location! Our only gripe was the entry/exit - it is on the narrow side but truly only matters on moving in and moving out large bags. Consider this home if you want a large space to relax and feel pampered while enjoying this lovely city. Great for family and friends, and equally nice for privacy as the house has many rooms.

Great house for a party

  • 5 of 5

We had a celebration with 40 people. This was the best place in New Orleans to hold it. The downstairs party space was perfect and the upstairs apartment was beautiful, spacious and well equipped. Downstairs, 3 more bedrooms meant that we could house many of our guests. Kurt, Tracy and Jessie were extremely helpful and available. The neighborhood was perfect and we enjoyed some evenings on Frechmen street. And Ruby Slipper Café around the corner was the best place for brunch.

Amazing house in an excellent location!

  • 5 of 5

We just rented this house with 8 other friends to celebrate my 30th birthday, and it was even better than we were anticipating. The house is even more wonderful than the pictures let on. The location is amazing. You can easily walk to everything at the French Quarter. The two concierge, Tracy and Jessi, were very helpful and accommodating. The owner Kurt was very pleasant to book with, and even allowed us to checkout later than the scheduled time. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. It made our time in New Orleans so enjoyable. I would highly recommend this house to a larger group looking for luxurious accommodations in a walkable location.

Ideal NOLA Residence! Beautiful and Convenient Location

  • 5 of 5

6/23-6/29

Me and several friends rented this home in the Marigny and it met and exceeded our expectations. The property was just as the pictures showed. Spacious, beautifully furnished, well-stocked and convenient to most things in and around New Orleans. It was my first visit and I did want the feeling of living in the city instead of being stuck in tourist mayhem of Canal street and this checked all the boxes. We reached capacity with 10 people and there was still room for more if it became necessary. Everyone who came to visit wanted info on the place to recommend it to others. Don't hesitate to book this location if it is available. We did not need much from the host after arriving but they were very friendly and the house notes were very helpful.

All the necessities were provided plus more and all done on a luxe scale which was greatly appreciated by me and my guests. The accommodations are wonderful and it was a great escape from the serious heat that was going on while we were there. Definitely an oasis. Ruby Slippers being right down the street from breakfast, brunch and lunch was very convenient and since we are big drinkers having Iggy's and The John, both 24-hour bars in the neighborhood was great too. With that said, we are New Yorkers and willing to take a walk on the wild side so let's just say those two places are off the beaten path and not for everyone.

Frenchmen street was great for music and the walk to the Quarter is a breeze and a perfect way to walk off the massive amounts of food you will surely eat.

Go forth and be merry and this wonderful rental. IT'S WORTH IT!

Exceeded Expectations!!!

  • 5 of 5

10 friends all got together to celebrate my twin brother's Bachelor Party in NOLA.....

I only needed to speak with Kurt, the owner, one time. He answered every question I had clearly and was extremely friendly.

Two weeks later, my party was then greeted by Tracy for checkin at the house. And boy was she lovely and sweet; showing us around the house etc.

THE HOUSE itself... AMAZING! I didn't need to ask Kurt and Tracy much about "what-to-do" in NOLA because we all knew we were going to hit the Streets. However, the critical choice of where to stay, this I did extensive research. The house is gorgeous. And although the pictures are nice, they don't do a justice. The property has an incredible balcony overlooking the street. Its location was probably the selling point. Maybe an 8 minute walk to all action on Frenchmen Street and Bourbon. The inside of the house, exceeding every expectation I had. It is decorated simply yet lovely - has a ton of rooms - all 10 of us each were more than comfortable - the list goes.

i guarantee if we do plan another trip to NOLA - it will be scheduled around the availability of this house!
