The Holbrook House has been in my family since it was built in 1913. The house was always filled with guests and family from near and far. I'm am so happy to bring life back to it after a major restoration.
Filled with historical details, heart pine floors throughout and hand carved mantels. The Holbrook House is part of the North Carolina Historical Register under the Traphill Historic District.

My husband and I stayed at the Holbrook House for our anniversary. Before we even arrived, Holly (the owner), was already so accommodating. She provided dinner and winery recommendations, as well as gave great directions for finding the house. We had no trouble finding the house and were greeted with a warm welcome upon arrival. After showing us to our beautiful room, Holly offered us wine and cheese. Within minutes, we no longer felt like strangers but like family! Holly showed us around the house and property. IT IS GORGEOUS, yall! She has done an incredible job restoring this beautiful piece of her family's history and was so kind to share it with us.
The room itself was extremely comfortable and clean. It was cozy and warm. Holly had provided snacks and water for us as well, which was a really sweet touch. The next morning, she prepared a fantastic breakfast. We did not even need lunch that day! We were not in a hurry to go anywhere that morning so we enjoyed a nice chat with Holly. Again, it was like being with an old friend or family member, even though we had just met.
I can't say enough good things about the Holbrook House. It is a beautiful home, nestled on a gorgeous piece of property. It is convenient to hiking and several (amazing!) wineries. There were several nice restaurants and downtown shopping areas just a 20 minute drive or so away. We look forward to coming back soon and also sharing/recommending it with friends and family.
Holly has done a wonderful job with this property and is a very personable and accommodating host. Highly recommend.
The owner's meticulous attention to detail has created a cozy and inviting atmosphere for visitors. Holly is a gracious and friendly hostess who makes everyone feel "right at home." She is very knowledgeable about the local area, and can readily assist guests in navigating to the many and varied attractions.
We loved our stay. We were sipping a local wine within minutes of arriving. Fire on the patio was a nice touch. Nice accommodations. Couldn't have asked for more. Highly recommend.
This quaint charming farmhouse makes for a cozy get away. Holly has done an amazing job restoring her family's farmhouse with up to date appliances and bathtub jacuzzi(!) while preserving its historic charm. The farmhouse is located conveniently close to Stone Mountain so a quick drive puts you right at the Stone Mountain State park with lots of trails and hikes.
We felt very at home there- it had everything we needed and Holly has good recommendations for wineries and restaurants and she makes a delicious breakfast every morning. I was also allowed to bring my dog which was such a blessing because she enjoyed our hikes also.
The sunrise was amazing and the wineries are not too far away. A great place for a romantic getaway.
We were not disappointed and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to a friend or family member. Far outstrips the usual bed and breakfast experience!
This was a wedding gift for my daughter and new son-in-law to start their honeymoon. Both had a wonderful time, loved the atmosphere, the wonderful food, and bragged and bragged on Holly, the owner for her graciousness during their stay. This is a wonderfully charming place that is truly a hidden treasure to this area!
The Holbrook House is the closest B&B to Stone Mountain State Park and within 20 minutes of 4 Elkin Valley Wineries.
