Great Spot for Schweitzer Skiing

  • 5 of 5

Our family spent a week at this lovely property which served as home base for Schweitzer skiing. As it was our first time to the Sandpoint area, we were thrilled to discover the home's proximity to the Schweitzer Cutoff road and easy access to the mountain (less than 30 min.). The home was very comfortable, well stocked, the beds were wonderful and the hot tub was great after a long day on the slopes. The management company promptly took care of a snag with the WiFi that was initially not working in the house. Great place to unplug with the family - foosball and ping pong were added bonuses!

Great location and Home!

  • 5 of 5

This home was a great location and place for a large family vacation. It was layed out well for privacy and group activities. It was clean and provided games and movies for the kids. The kitchen had ample tools, supplies, and equipment.

Big home for large group

  • 3 of 5

The location is nice. House is clean, but could have used more loving care. Upstairs carpets needed cleaning or replacing. The door knobs cheap and fell out, kitchen and tile floors very slick. Can't walk on floor with socks or you will fall. Grandson should have worn a helmet! Thermostat upstairs made upper level 72 and lower level 60. Even with the downstairs air vents closed! Washing machine has trouble spinning clothes of water; so dryer takes a long time to dry clothes. We had to buy our own coffee pot as we couldn't figure out the house pot. Keys in house that we hoped would open shed to get outdoor chair pads for the deck table didn't work, so we sat on hot metal seats. Construction on 2 homes next door can disturb sleeping past 7AM on weekdays. Train whistle also blasts a few times a night and scares people sleeping upstairs. Only TV is downstairs and only plays the 3 or 4 DVDs provided. Upstairs really needed a radio or CD player. Looked like cabinets had been removed by the cable in walls in living room and master bedroom where TV was most likely placed. Seemed cheap to remove TVs as satellite dishes are out the roof. Lake is shallow and a bit cold. 12 feet at dock and 10 feet in the middle of the lake. On the positive side; the beds are comfortable as well as the linens. Shower pressure great. Water tasted good from faucet. Neighbors were friendly.

Awesome spot for a large group retreat

  • 5 of 5

Great house with everything you need for a large group holiday. There were 14 of us ladies down for the long weekend and had everything we needed including ample space for accommodations, showers, getting ready, cooking and dining in. Loved the private location with our own beach and hot tub. House was clean and check in/checkout was seamless. Clean, spacious and comfortable place to call home for the weekend. High recommend for large group getaway!

Home review

  • 5 of 5

The home is very nice and well furnished. The kitchen was outfitted with sufficient ware and appliances. The neighborhood is quiet and clean. Just what is needed for a restful vacation. Access to the neighborhood is quite easy from any direction. The only problem is finding the turn into the area from highway 200 at night, coming from the east. There are no reflectors to highlight the turn. If you plan to drive from the Hope area back to the home at night, I would advise you make yourself very familiar with the turn.
