As soon as you drive up to Delmar Flamingo, you’re sure to fall in love with its sunny pink-and-white façade, impeccably manicured grounds, and two levels of balconies stretching the width of the house. But there’s even more to love once you step inside. Add to the luxe amenities the spectacular location--the beach, the Gulf of Mexico, Matanzas Harbor, and the restaurants and shops of the Times Square area are all within walking distance--and you have the makings of a dream vacation.
Delmar Flamingo can sleep up to 6 people in its 3 bedrooms, which are all on the top floor. Don’t worry about lugging your suitcase up the stairs: The house has its own elevator!
The master suite is truly sumptuous, with British Colonial-style decor, a queen-size bed, a sitting area, and an HDTV. No matter how much you pack, you’ll find room to store it in the walk-in closet and the sizable dresser.
The gem of the master suite, however, is its bathroom. It’s really more like a spa: In addition to a deluxe walk-in shower and a double vanity with a wealth of storage, it includes a jetted whirlpool tub and a wall-mounted HDTV perfectly positioned so that you can catch up on your shows as you soak. This may well become your favorite room in the house!
The 2nd bedroom also has a queen-size bed and an HDTV, which makes Delmar Flamingo as well suited for 2 couples as for a family. With 2 twin beds, the 3rd bedroom will suit the kids to a T. These bedrooms share the 2nd bathroom, which like the master has his-and-her sinks and loads of storage.
The open-plan living/dining area strikes the ideal balance between elegant and casual. Windows abound to let in the sunshine and sea breezes and sliding glass doors open onto the balcony.
The living room sofa, while glamorous, is also amazingly comfortable--go ahead, stretch out for a nap! The armchairs invite you to curl up with a book or sprawl out with your laptop as you surf the web (Delmar Flamingo has free WiFi). There’s space for everyone to gather and watch a movie on the HDTV. And to quench everyone’s thirst, there’s even a wet bar, complete with sink, refrigerator, temperature-controlled wine cooler, and glassware.
The adjacent dining table seats 6. After you’ve cleared away your meal, set up the Monopoly board or deal a round of cards; the padded dining chairs are so comfortable, you’ll be happy to remain at the table for hours.
To serve the kids lunch or to enjoy a late-night snack, you can choose between the breakfast bar, which seats 3, or the cozy kitchen table, which looks out onto the balcony. Of course, you can also bring your beverages and snacks out onto the balcony--there’s nothing like sunshine and a salty breeze to stimulate the appetite!
And when you see how fabulous the kitchen is, you might spend much more time that you’d planned cooking all sorts of treats to satisfy everyone’s appetite. Open, spacious, and beautifully equipped with granite counters, stainless-steel appliances, cookware, prep tools, and tableware, it’s a chef’s paradise.
Then again, Fort Myers Beach itself could qualify as paradise. Its velvety beach, a treasure-trove for shell collectors, is only a few blocks away. Stroll over any time you like to swim, kayak, paddleboard, parasail, and drive jet-skis in the sparkling gulf.
If you prefer swimming in the still water, you can splash and float in the pool that Delmar Flamingo shares with just 3 other houses. Afterward, dry off on one of the poolside loungers, or walk a few yards to the shared dock and pier on the bay. Even if you don’t boat or fish, you’ll have a great time keeping an eye out for friendly dolphins and curious manatees.
Book your stay at Delmar Flamingo today, and get ready to fall in love. And if someone else has already reserved your week, consider staying at equally glamorous Delmar Dolphin right next door.

The house itself is nice but it was not maintained well at all. We felt as though we were getting it ready for the season. We got to pay to stay and get everything in order/ clean for the next renters.
-air conditioner was not fully functional and we had to take approximately 24 hours of our vacation dealing with property management in order to finally get it fixed.
-pool heater was broken, the guy who cleaned the pool told us daily someone was coming out the next day to fix it...never happened.
-mattresses and pillows were terrible! We all had issues with waking up with sore stiff backs and necks. It was awful, did not make for a relaxing vacation.
-living room furniture was dirty and anytime someone sat on couch it made loud noises. The dining room chairs are old and in need of repair, our son-in-law even cut himself on a nail that was poking out of one the seats. Also, the outdoor furniture was so dirty we had to buy a sponge and my husband had to scrub them so we could even sit outside.
-I understand it is Florida but there were ants all over the bathrooms (weird) so we had to go out and buy bug spray
- Since there is not a hair dryer it would have been nice if there were 12 towels as listed in the description instead of the 6 we had.
