This house was recently renovated townhouse. Brand new kitchen with stainless steel appliances. This has been our family's home for the past twenty years. It is set up as a family home rather than a typical rental. Ski bench in foyer with ski boot dryer for10 pairs Sleeps 11 in beds as opposed to sofa beds, etc. The loft is closed off for noise and privacy with an attached private bath. There is gas cooking in the kitchen which is very unusual in the Village. There is a wood burning fire place. Cable TV and Internet is provided.

The Villages at Camelback is a GREAT location, definitely a unique and one-of-a-kind resort area!
Our stay at the Villages was lovely and, aside from extremely inclement wet & rainy weather, was a great memory for all of us! But even with the rain, the unit’s kitchen, dining area and living room were very nice. The kitchen was updated, great tv’s and lots of games. Our only complaint would be that we weren’t aware of our rental being such a hike from the parking lot within Cluster 3. Unit #80 was not at the parking level, rather it was down 29 steps to the walkway which led to the unit entranceway, which was then down another 9 steps down to the front door. This was a great deal of up and down many steps to unload and reload all our luggage, food, & ‘stuff’.
Excellent location for Camelback skiing
Marianne is a gracious hostess. We stayed here for MLK and Presidents weekends. The home is just steps from the slopes. Each day, we would ski in the morning, come back to the condo for lunch and to walk the dog, ski in the afternoon, return for dinner and then ski in the evening. The kids also enjoyed the community pool.
Wonderful Time and Great Owner
Our family had a great time staying here including our dog. We had 10 people and did not feel cramped. The living room was large for everyone to sit and talk comfortably. Marianne was always available for any questions and was very accomodating. The house is located right next to the slope so you can get your lift tickets without having to drive. The Villages at Camelback is secure with a guard house monitoring cars going in. You are only allowed 2 cars to park near the house but the nice people at the office gave us an extra parking pass. The rest of the cars would need to park at overflow parking near the guard house. The Villages location is about 10 minutes to Tannersville as well as a 20 minute drive to Mount Airy Casino. Big Pocono State Park (top of Camelback) is literally 1 left turn from exiting the villages. We are considering returning during the summer.
Clean, convenient to mountain, comfortable beds
The main living area was perfect for our group of 8. The bedrooms need new carpets and new comforterers. The matresses were very comfortable. The master bedroom lacked any furniture. Not even a night stand. Bathrooms are dated but clean. I wasn’t expecting to have to clean the place before I left. I didn’t go on vacation to have to clean bathrooms and wash floors. It would be nice if there was a cleaning service hired for this as this will deter me from going back. The home owner is lovely and very accommodating. Be prepared to bring towels and sheets for beds. It’s a very nice complex with a beautiful pool.

Great stay- just some issues. My family arrived at different times from different locations. All of us had difficulty getting in. There was no instruction ahead of time that we had to stop at an office to get a key for the gate, and no idea that there would only be one key to get in. When the second car arrived, it required us driving to the gate to swipe the card so my son could enter. Each time we left the complex and returned, one car had to swipe and drive through a distance, then get out and walk back so the 2nd car could enter. The top bunk upstairs was filthy with shavings/ dirt perhaps from the skylight. We did not let anyone sleep there. There was not even one roll of toilet paper to begin our stay. We left each bathroom with a roll for the next family, as well as dishwasher and laundry detergent that we had to purchase. There was a trash compactor with no instructions, and no other garbage receptacle in the kitchen. No cookie sheet for baking. The cleaning instructions were very lengthy but we left it much cleaner than when we arrived. Loved the large living room and the games! Also took advantage of the pool (brrrr) and tennis courts! Loved the hot tub and the lifeguard was very nice.
Safe community, I was so happy to have been able to bring my four legged family member with us, lots of space. Great appliances and amenities, the only down side was the lack of cleanliness inside the house. We made sure to leave it spotless for the next family coming. Definitely will recommend and come back next year!
