If you're looking for the perfect beach home to come escape to, you've found it! Located in Silver Strand Beach right next to PePe's Mexican Food, this property has a prime location! It is close to town and just a short walk to the beach. Silver Strand is a local's favorite and you are sure to find plenty to do! After a fun filled day zipping around town or hanging out by the beach, this home is the perfect place to wind down. The first thing you'll notice when you arrive is the perfect patio space with a BBQ and plenty of seats for everyone to enjoy the sun! Upon entry, you are greeted by a bright living area. Past the living room you will find the kitchen, which features plenty if cooking space! Through the kitchen is the garage (1 car) which also features a bike and beach umbrella for guest use! The master bedroom features a queen bed, a second bedroom features a bunk bed with 2 twins and 1 full bed, and a third bedroom features a pull out couch big enough for 2! The bathroom features a shower tub combo. Come, stay, fall in love!

The property manager was somewhat unhelpful.

The vacation rental was spotless.

I was very happy with the location.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental.

The place was ok and very affordable compared to others in the area. The master bedroom bed was terrible which really distracted from the entire stay. The bed makes a lot of noise and is sagging. I called the office but no one came out to repair it. Sleeper sofa is pretty bad as well. Otherwise the rest was nice.

Owner's Response: Hi Heather! This owner is super involved with this adorable rental and was very disappointed to see your review. It was discovered that the previous renter did remove a couple slats from the bed. The bed has been fully repaired. As a gesture of good faith, the owner even offered a free stay for you to come back! I understand you no longer live in the area so are not able to take advantage of this. This home is a great affordable rental in a super location and has always left guests wanting to come back.

My company has indicated that I may get relocated — again — so when we came back to Southern California after a couple of decades overseas, She Who Must be Obeyed (my wife) and I figured a vacation rental might be a good segue back into the 'States in lieu of finding something more permanent. That was a good call, a VERY good call. We selected this place almost by accident (it was added to listings just as we were making our mind up on another property) and were utterly blown away by it. The location's great, the drive to work is less than 25 minutes without hopping on a single freeway and the place oozes charm. You can saunter to the beach and some of the yummiest tacos on Earth are just across the street. Oh, and the bed is the comfiest I've EVER slept in. The 'down' sides are few and far between and the worst may be the tiny garage (size and layout mitigate getting something the size of a Corolla inside), the gorgeous mid-1950s architecture with undraped glazing between the upper walls and the eaves roof that can let the blazing sun in on you in the morning on the west side of the house and the cool looking giant tile floor that is not as easy to walk over when you're sleepy as you might think. But these are minor issues in the giant scheme of things and really did not impact the joy of our stay there. The five stars I've given the property management people on the subject of professionalism are highly qualified. While everything went in a seamless and professional manner, the people were not at all professional in the usual term. They were a lot more like friends or family members than icy professionals and I would have no hesitation whatsoever to deal with them again. My biggest regret regarding this property is that I had to leave. But hey, life's a *****. bwob
