Our sweet and comfortable cottage is the perfect escape for a relaxing weekend or a fun country festivous. Just 10 miles from Leesburg, sitting on a half acre, surrounded by beautiful mountains, wineries, breweries, old town shopping, lovely restaurants, canoeing and scenic hiking venues.
This home features a first floor master suite, luxury amenities such as a pillow top queen bed in the master, down comforter, dual shower heads and heated floors in the master suite. There are two additional bedrooms upstairs, 1 furnished with twin beds, the other with a queen bed, these rooms share a beautifully renovated full bath upstairs.
The kitchen is gorgeous and comes well equipped. We've stocked it with all the basic tableware, pots, pans and utensils needed to cook up a savory country breakfast. Complimentary coffee and tea is provided, along with a guide of where to eat and what to do in Western Loudoun County.
We are committed to providing a clean and comfortable getaway for our guests. Come, enjoy, relax.
My husband and I are Loudoun County natives. We have 2 boys, both in college. Brian owns a construction and remodeling business, and I run an interior design firm. After owning this property in Round Hill for 9 years, we were delighted to finally be able to complete a thoughtful and thorough renovation... We are so happy to share this lovely home with you!
Jennifer Jenkins purchased this house in 2005
The home was very cozy and decorated beautifully. Our daughter was married in Middleburg and we were looking for a place to stay after the wedding and enjoy the area and family. We visited nearby towns and went hiking. There is plenty to do and wonderful restaurants. Enjoy your stay!
House was as presented. Jennifer responded quickly with any questions asked. The house was clean and furnished nicely. Love the big clock in living room. A big find was three books high on kitchen shelves. Being a retired librarian, I had to see what they were..three books by Lytton. I skimmed one, with what little time I had, and was so tempted to email Jennifer to ask, if I could borrow one and mail it back. A good treasure and preservation of literature is always a good thing. Thanks.
Enjoyed a day trip to Harper's Ferry and shopping. Also a wedding and reception at The Lightfoot in Leesburg and rehearsal dinner at DC Prime in Ashburn. Lunch at Tammys was good, and the small grocery store across the street came in handy a couple of times. It was so much better to be in a comfortable house with family than a hotel room. Everything was an easy drive.
The driveway does need some work, but we did not drag.
We recently stayed at this lovely home and very much enjoyed the house and the local area. We spent the week touring the "Hallowed Ground" region - Manassas, Antietam and Gettysburg battlefields are all within an hour and a half drive. This home is beautifully and comfortably decorated, and the owner has provided everything that you might need for a weekend or week-long stay. Such a lovely spot!
We had a great stay in your adorable house! A perfect location for our girls' getaway!
It was a great place to stay, everything was very clean and neat. It was conveniently located across the street from a mini market, which was great in case we needed something.
The only issues we encountered was that entering into the property the driveway was super skinny pulling in and you have to be careful, not only that there is a dip but there is a ditch on both sides of the entrance of the driveway. Coming from W. Louden and pulling into the property on the right side, you have to make a wide turn into the property because if you don't you will go In the ditch like we did and I'm hoping my truck is not messed up. We also had issues with the queen bed having a a dip in it as well as the master bdrm bed. The master bdrm floor was also slanted so when sleeping your feet was higher than your head. I feel that the floor really needs to be repaired.
Besides that it's a GREAT place to stay and we would definitely stay there again!! I definitely would recommend this place !!!
We are so lucky to have found this place. It's comfortable and beautufully renovated and furnished. It's a great location for day trips to Washington, DC, Civil War historic sites, or the Norther Virginia countryside. The shower in the first-floor bathroom is really nice with two shower heads. Jennifer was great about sending us info before we arrived, so the place was easy to find and access. Overall, it was fabulous!
