About Philip Stacy

I am a fourth generation Native Texan and a lifelong resident of the Kerrville/Ingram/Hunt Area. I have many connections to the Summer Camps in the area. Both my wife and I attended and worked at area Summer Camps. Our Family has been truly blessed to be able live and grow up in the most beautiful part of the Texas Hill Country. Currently, I am semi-retired from the banking industry and live just minutes away.

Philip Stacy purchased this cabin in 2014

Why Philip Stacy chose Hill Country

I have always loved this log cabin. I drove by it each day to and from work. A friend of mine who was a home builder remodeled this property back in 2007. Both the inside and outside were redone and it is like going back in time with the benefit of modern conveniences

What makes this cabin unique

So close to the river, summer camps, hunting and fishing. It's a great place to stay while picking up or dropping off your children at Camp or vacationing with your family.

Charming, comfortable way station between Kerrville and camps

  • 5 of 5

We were in the area for five days, attending camp closing at one of the bevy of camps in the hills west of Kerrville, and looking for a place close enough to be able to zip back and forth during meals and rest-hour at camp, but with restaurant options more intriguing than the dining hall at Mo Ranch (with all due respect). This location was perfect for us, and the cabin charming, well-equipped, and comfortable. Everything was perfect, so we didn't NEED to contact the hosts for anything, but their pre-stay responsiveness assured us that they were ready to make our stay perfect if we HAD had any issues. As our last child "graduated" from camp this year, we're hoping that it's still there for us when our grand daughters go!

Excellent. Simplicity with all the conveniences (TV, internet, dishwasher, washer/dryer)

  • 5 of 5

Location is perfect for seeing various sights around Kerrville. Very private area outside with picnic table and barbecue pit, other seating on outside porch. Inside cabin has comfortable seating in living area, comfortable beds and everything one would need for a laidback visit. Within walking distance to Guadalupe River, shops and diverse restaurants. Two fireplaces inside. 20 - 30 deer observed in field through kitchen window. Highly recommend whether you want to visit all the sights in the area or hangout there with a good book and watch movies.

Perfect place to retreat

  • 5 of 5

This quaint cabin is centrally located in Ingram, TX - between Kerrville, TX and Hunt, TX. Easy access, designated parking, plenty of room for sleeping 4+. Make sure those sleeping in the loft are physically capable of climbing a steep staircase. It is equipped with all the essentials for cooking, eating, relaxing in an enclosed yard with porch, bathing, sleeping and WIFI. TV area seats 3 comfortably; must pull in kitchen table chairs for additional seating. It is located on the main road through town, but it is perfectly quiet inside the cabin. Owners respond VERY promptly and deposit is refunded quickly! Highly recommended.

Very charming and comfortable

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay at the Lazy Day Lodge. It was comfortable and well equipped. It was in a great location for walking to the gift shops and a restaurant across the street. Walmart was just a few miles down the road for groceries. Although it was right on the highway it was still quiet at night for sleeping. A great place to stay.
