Beautifully decorated Georgian apartment situated in Edinburgh's Newtown, a short walk from the city centre and Edinburgh Waverley train station. The apartment is situated on the 1st floor (one flight of steps) and has been recently decorated to a high standard throughout, combining modern and traditional features to beautiful effect.

There is a spacious and bright lounge, a modern fully equipped kitchen with dining area, a dining room, a double bedroom with king sized bed, a double room with twin beds and a further bedroom with a single and a loft twin bed, a bathroom with separate shower and a further w.c for guest's convenience. The apartment has gas central heating throughout and all bed linen and towels are provided for guests. Free secure wifi access is provided for guests usage.

There is metered on street parking but the beauty of this apartment is it's centrality and wealth of local bars and restaurants which mean guests do not need a car to see Edinburgh's delights!

Lovely apartment & great location

This apartment was perfect! Stayed here for 3 nights and didn't want to leave! Great location for train station - nice area for walking and exploring. Apartment has lovely high ceilings, is very tastefully decorated and has everything you could ask for from a vacation rental. Would definitely recommend this apartment and would love to stay here again. Thank you very much!

Large, beautiful Gerogian apartment

We loved our stay in this beautiful spacious Georgian apartment. The location was lovely. It was an easy walk to markets and nice restaurants. The apartment was large and comfortable and beautifully decorated, very clean and well maintained. The kitchen was large and well equipped. We are 3 adults and had plenty of room and privacy, and the apartment could easily accommodate a few more. Public parking was available in front of the apartment with maximum of 4 hours (from 9-5), so it was necessary to move the car once during weekdays. But our visit spanned a weekend, so it was not difficult for us. We found a public parking garage nearby but didn't need to use it. We highly recommend this apartment.

Amazing week at #8!

Our family (5 adults) had an amazing week in this flat! The price was reasonable and the accommodations were 5 star! The flat itself is BEAUTIFUL and so clean! The owners provided us with maps, several sets of keys and all of the necessities. (towels, toilet tissue, soap, detergent etc...) Each bedroom is quite large with gorgeous architectural detail, terrific storage and unbelievably comfortable beds! The kitchen was well-stocked and had everything we needed. The living room was so comfy with a nice TV and a beautiful view. We didn't use the dining room, but it would have been a great area for entertaining! Bathrooms were large and we loved the towel warmers! The location was the best part! 5 minute walk to fabulous restaurants and shops and a 10 minute walk to the train station and park. We could not have asked for a better place to spend our first time in Scotland!

Fantastic unit!

We were just so comfortable in the apartment and the finishes were top-rate here! There were many special touches to make the burden of travel a bit more easy -- some spare notions, a well-stocked first aid kit, bottled water/snacks, etc. I have to say the pictures didn't do the apartment justice. It is very spacious and has beautiful views. Markets, restaurants, and attractions were within easy walking distance. Rona was friendly and welcoming; this place is a winner!

Un séjour fantastique

Nous avons adoré notre séjour dans cet appartement fantastique. Il est grand, beau, avec de nombreuses prestations haut de gamme qui sont la cerise sur le gateau. Avec nos longues ballades dans ce beau pays, rentrer était un plaisir et un réconfort. Si l'occasion se présente, nous y reviendrons avec un immense plaisir.

Beautiful, spacious, quiet and ideally-located apartment

We really enjoyed our week in and around Edinburgh, and this lovely apartment was a great home base for our group of six travelers, consisting of three generations. With three bedrooms (the master bedroom is amazing - ca. 40 square meters!), one and a half bathrooms, a full kitchen, separate dining room for eight, and a bright and airy living room, we never felt cramped. Everyone slept well in comfortable beds, and since the bedrooms all face the inner courtyard, rather than the street, the apartment was virtually silent at night. It was wonderful to live in a quiet New Town neighborhood and yet be located a short walk from the center of Edinburgh, Waverley railway station, George Street shopping, Edinburgh Castle, Royal Botanic Garden, etc. There are many restaurant/pub/grocery options in the immediate area. The Olive Branch Bistro and the Smoke Stack Steakhouse were two favorites. Despite our late Sunday night arrival in Edinburgh, Rona, the property manager, met us at the door with a smile, a firm handshake and a lot of useful information - really made us feel welcome. We would absolutely recommend this apartment to anyone looking for comfortable accommodations in Edinburgh.

The world famous Arts festival in August along with its associated Fringe festival, the Jazz festival in July/August, the Film festival in June the Science Festival in April/May and the Winter Festival - Dec-Jan make Edinburgh a buzzing place to visit throughout the year.

Lovers of art will enjoy the national galleries on The Mound, the Gallery of Modern Art and Dean Gallery in Belford Road and the National Portrait Gallery on Queen Street (a short walk from the apartment.)

If you like walking, the views from Calton Hill are stunning, further afield guests can enjoy the walk up Arthur's Seat for more breathtaking views of Edinburgh and its surroundings. The Water of Leith is a lovely tranquil walk through the history of Edinburgh's industrial heritage.

For shoppers the apartment is close to St James Centre (John Lewis) and Multrees Walk (Harvey Nichols) and Princes Street Edinburgh's main shopping thoroughfare is a short walk away and if you want a break from the shops Princes Street Gardens are a lovely spot to sit and watch the world go by.

London Street is in the heart of the historic Edinburgh New Town so guests can enjoy the splendour of the Georgian buildings. It's a short walk to Broughton Street which has excellent bars such as Treacle, Cask and Barrel (for sport lovers) and the Basement Bar and restaurants - Port Of Siam (Thai), Smoke Stack (burgers and steaks), Olive Branch (Mediterranean) and L'Escargot Bleu (French).

The Playhouse Theatre is on Greenside Place and hosts long running musicals and is also a popular venue during the festival.

There is a Tesco Supermarket 5 mins from the apartment and Broughton Street also has some handy grocery stores.

There are excellent bus routes to the city centre close to the apartment for those times you want to give your limbs a break.
