About William & Rosie Myles
We are professionals who are living in Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands and are proud citizens of both Belize and the Cayman Islands.
Why William & Rosie Myles chose Lake Gardens
As citizens of Belize living abroad, we built this beautiful home in 2006 to allow us the freedom to return home frequently and to enjoy the benefits of family, friends, nature and all that Belize has to offer.
What makes this House unique
Our home is ideally situated very near the airport and overlooks a quite lake. The viewing tower affords a panoramic view of the surrounding area for miles around. On an early morning walk around the property, nature unfolds itself through the many birds butterflies and possibly other wild life you will see. An evening on the balcony under the stars is nothing short than magnificent.

It is a very nice property, our family really enjoyed the stay! Also Mr. Milian and Mr. Sho are nice
Only issues we experience were some times the pump made big noise and leaking, also most our family got mosquitoes or bugs bite.
It was perfect!
We visited Belize July 4-9 and stayed in this beautiful home. There were 5 couples in all. We had more than plenty of room. Prior to our arrival, the Williams provided great information to help make our trip a memorable one. The two gentlemen who care for the Home were very responsive and very nice. If you are traveling with a large group, this home is ideal. It is gorgeous inside! Thank you for sharing your home with us! If we come back to Belize, we know where to stay!
My family and I were in Belize for a family reunion, we were looking for a home that would accommodate several people for a full week. When looking for a home on VBRO I found this home. I reached out to the owner Mr. Myles and he answered all of my questions and we stayed in contact throughout the months. When we arrived at the home on June 20, 2018 after a long flight from the US, everyone was pleasantly surprised with the home. We were greeted by one of the caretakers Mr. Sho and he showed us the home and showed us what we needed. He also left his number to call if we needed anything, very nice, helpful and friendly man. The home can accommodate a large family comfortably. It is in a very quiet and secure area in Ladyville and is a short drive from the airport and Belize City. We only had one issue with the water going out and Mr. Sho was right on top of it and was able to get a plumber to the house right away to repair, Mr. Sho always made sure we were comfortable. The house was very modern, central air, washing machine/dryer. kitchen well equip, beautiful balcony, etc. When we left out in the evening either Mr. Sho or another caretaker Hugh would come over and watch the house. We felt very safe and secure. We will definitely be reaching out to Mr. Myles for the rental of his home for future visits. And I highly recommend this home for anyone visiting Belize who is looking for a home with space. It was perfect for us.
Thank you very much for posting your review of our Belize property. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay in our home and look forward to welcoming you back as guests when next you visit.
Lovely home and excellent owner/caretaker
This Ladyville home is modern, beautiful, spacious, has several bedrooms, a well-appointed kitchen, and was perfect for us (7). Beautiful Belizian wood interior, including floors. Everything was exactly as promised in the listing. The owners' communication was timely - and I asked lots of questions (Thank you, Myles'.). They were available by telephone and text weeks before we arrived. Provided information on vehicle rentals and eateries. The Wifi worked. Close and easy to find from the airport. Plenty of parking. Our caretaker went (it seemed to us) much out of his way to answer our questions, explain things, help us settle in, respond when we needed help, and he had stocked a few groceries. (Thank you, Maturinosho, for COFFEE!) He gave us a few keys so we could come and go independently. I don't think you could have a better experience in Belize City. Highly recommended - AAA+
The property is ideally located for those wanting to truly experience Belize at its best. Explore famous Maya Ruins, take a short drive out to the Belize Zoo, enjoy the scenic water taxi ride to the cayes, beaches, caves and a whole range of other activities. Belize is truly an adventure with something to offer everyone. Ever tried zip-lining or water-tubing? Don't miss the opportunity to do so when in Belize. Because of the property's proximity to the historic and bustling Belize City, take advantage of the opportunity to visit the Museum, the colonial architecture of Fort George, St. John's Cathedral (the oldest Anglican Church in Central America dating back to 1847) as well as ongoing cultural activities at the Bliss Institute. Lunch at Bird's Island is a must! If you are lucky, you just might catch the Swing Bridge, built circa 1923 in action, allowing passage for tall boats.
If you are interested in visiting Maya ruins, the nearest to our property would be Altun Ha, approximately 34 miles from Belize City, along the Old Northern Highway. One of our family favourites, however, is Lamanai which affords you the opportunity to journey into the jungle first by boat and see nature at its finest (a knowledgeable tour guide will be able to point out indigenous flora and fauna along the way) then a trek through the pristine jungle to this ruin and the on-site museum. Xunantunich and Caracol are also great ruins to visit. If you head to Xunantunich, in the Cayo area, you might just want to spend an overnight at nearby Chaa Creek, an amazing place and one of our favourite stops. When you arrive there, a walk along the Panti Medicine Trail//Rainforest Medicine Trail, an herbal research centre and named in honour of one of Belize's best known traditional healer, is a must, as is a swim in the refreshing river.
A visit to the Mountain Pine Ridge to see the Thousand Foot Falls/Hidden Valley and the Five Sisters Falls and a dip in the Rio On Pools whether for this visit or for the next will be worth taking.
We encourage you to explore the picturesque southern districts of Belize and to meet the Garifuna people to witness and experience their culture either as you visit Dangriga or Hopkins.
A favourite of many visitors and residents alike is Placencia, often described as the caye you can drive to, situated at the southern tip of a sandy peninsula.
We hope that your interest is now piqued sufficiently and that you will start planning that vacation of a lifetime exploring Belize from the safety, comfort and convenience of our home.
