Quaint, quiet, relaxing, comfortable

  • 5 of 5

My family and I enjoyed our first family vacation up in Big Bear and the condo was the perfect place. My 4 year old loved the bunk beds and we set up a pack n play in the master bedroom. There was so much space. The games were fun, great TV, perfect little kitchen, the pool was so nice on a hot day, a hop/skip/jump over to the marina (we walked there several times), and very close to the village. Mitch checked in often and was there if we needed anything. We would have stayed another night, but Labor Day traffic was something we didn't want to face headed down the hill. Thank you for a wonderful home to call our own for a few days!

Awesome last minute summer vacay!

  • 5 of 5

For a single working mom with 2 teens and a 9 year old it was a little scary planning a last minute vacation a week before kids going back to college and school. This place was perfect we were close to everything lake, village, zoo, hiking, and alpine slide. The pool and jacuzzi were perfect! The condo itself was great, clean, and comfortable. Having a washer and dryer was a plus! The owners were extremely friendly and made sure we arrived safely and made it very easy to communicate. We're already planning to return either during snow season or for summer next year.

Great Weekend Gateway!

  • 5 of 5

We were 4 adults and 3 kids. The condo is just as advertised. The complex is conveniently located and the keys pick up/drop off is only a block away. The owner, Mitch, is very respondent and was on target with all the information and making sure we were enjoying our stay. They allowed us to check in a little early and check out late. When leaving, sheets from all beds and towels needed to be gathered and place inside the laundry room, trashed put away, and dishes into the dishwasher.

The unit is very nice inside, furniture is comfortable, big flat screen, and a nice size dinning table. We suggested to add a blender and a new can opener on the guest book. We definitely enjoyed our stay and I would highly recommend it.

Nice townhome close to the lake.

  • 5 of 5

The keys to get in are conveniently held at the travelodge, less than a block away from the place. The condo is very well located, just a few minutes driving from the lifts. The complex is well kept and the spa is roomy, warm and very close to the unit. They also have a pool next to the spa. The lake is just a few steps from the place (nice less driving). The unit has everything you would need minus a regular coffee maker. But they did have sort of a espresso machine, not sure about the brand. I suggested they get one, and the owner seemed to like the idea. It accommodates three couples comfortably, the place is cozy and well decorated. It feels like we are in someone else getaway cabin though, they do have pictures of their family decorating their cabin. You have to run a few errands at the last day, such as put dishes on the washing machine, bring the bedding to the laundry room and take the trash out. The deposit was returned in full after 48 hours of departure. We all loved our time there and would certainly go back. Thanks Mitch and Family for sharing wonderful your place with us!

Condo is exactly as advertised - perfect for snow/ski get away

  • 5 of 5

So, our trip to Big Bear was in January (20-23), specifically for our kids to see snow for their first time. Well, there was snow, there was tons of snow everywhere - almost too much snow if that's a thing. It was the same weekend that soaked LA in rain. This rental is one unit in a large complex, with a two story configuration. One bedroom downstairs off the mud room, and two upstairs (one master and one bunk with full beds). One bath up and one downstairs. The kitchen was well stocked with all necessary cookware and a K-cup coffee maker. Each bedroom had cable tv and dvd. The gas fire place and central heat kept the place nice and cozy. But IMO, one of the best parts of the cabin are the owners (Mitch and Maureen). While we didn't meet face to face, I can tell you that they are awesome. They are easy to reach via text or email, completely accommodating (we had to adjust for massive storms) and just plain nice. Mitch even emailed me a snow alert for the next day. The complex is right of Hwy 18, easy to find, even when everything is covered in snow (and I mean covered). The unit is exactly as advertised. Check in/out was seamless. The only struggles we encountered were related to the volume of snow around town. Skiing/boarding after the storm was first rate at Snow Summit (about a 10 min drive even with chains). Bottom line: Recommend highly (for winter at least - all I can comment on). We would stay here again.
