We are excited to finally have a place in the mountains on the lake to share with family and friends in a truly unique vacation getaway. It's tasteful decoration is warm and cozy. If you like the desert too, we also have a beautiful condo located at Sunrise C.C. in Rancho Mirage (VRBO #267162).
Maureen purchased this condo in 2014
We were 4 adults and 3 kids. The condo is just as advertised. The complex is conveniently located and the keys pick up/drop off is only a block away. The owner, Mitch, is very respondent and was on target with all the information and making sure we were enjoying our stay. They allowed us to check in a little early and check out late. When leaving, sheets from all beds and towels needed to be gathered and place inside the laundry room, trashed put away, and dishes into the dishwasher.
The unit is very nice inside, furniture is comfortable, big flat screen, and a nice size dinning table. We suggested to add a blender and a new can opener on the guest book. We definitely enjoyed our stay and I would highly recommend it.
The keys to get in are conveniently held at the travelodge, less than a block away from the place. The condo is very well located, just a few minutes driving from the lifts. The complex is well kept and the spa is roomy, warm and very close to the unit. They also have a pool next to the spa. The lake is just a few steps from the place (nice less driving). The unit has everything you would need minus a regular coffee maker. But they did have sort of a espresso machine, not sure about the brand. I suggested they get one, and the owner seemed to like the idea. It accommodates three couples comfortably, the place is cozy and well decorated. It feels like we are in someone else getaway cabin though, they do have pictures of their family decorating their cabin. You have to run a few errands at the last day, such as put dishes on the washing machine, bring the bedding to the laundry room and take the trash out. The deposit was returned in full after 48 hours of departure. We all loved our time there and would certainly go back. Thanks Mitch and Family for sharing wonderful your place with us!
So, our trip to Big Bear was in January (20-23), specifically for our kids to see snow for their first time. Well, there was snow, there was tons of snow everywhere - almost too much snow if that's a thing. It was the same weekend that soaked LA in rain. This rental is one unit in a large complex, with a two story configuration. One bedroom downstairs off the mud room, and two upstairs (one master and one bunk with full beds). One bath up and one downstairs. The kitchen was well stocked with all necessary cookware and a K-cup coffee maker. Each bedroom had cable tv and dvd. The gas fire place and central heat kept the place nice and cozy. But IMO, one of the best parts of the cabin are the owners (Mitch and Maureen). While we didn't meet face to face, I can tell you that they are awesome. They are easy to reach via text or email, completely accommodating (we had to adjust for massive storms) and just plain nice. Mitch even emailed me a snow alert for the next day. The complex is right of Hwy 18, easy to find, even when everything is covered in snow (and I mean covered). The unit is exactly as advertised. Check in/out was seamless. The only struggles we encountered were related to the volume of snow around town. Skiing/boarding after the storm was first rate at Snow Summit (about a 10 min drive even with chains). Bottom line: Recommend highly (for winter at least - all I can comment on). We would stay here again.
Our family enjoyed our stay here. The place was well stocked, had everything we needed, and very homey. Communication was great from Mitch. We would definitely stay here again.
Two bedrooms on the second floor and one in the lowest level. I booked this cabin for a family trip and it was perfect. Great for 2 families (4 adults/4 kids) Spaces out enough for most of us to spend the weekend comfortably. Well equipped kitchen. Great communication. I would rent again!
We feel like the condo was ours! Everything was perfect! The location is like 10 min from downtown but this make it perfect because of the traffic on hi seasson! Every detail in the house make you feel like is your home..! Rooms are clean, kitchen is complete full of stuff, the BBQ wroks perfect, you can walk for 3 min to the lake! And Mitch was a perfect owner, he was so into everything to be perfect and easy for us, gave us a lot of tips and helpfull on everything! My family was so happy the we are planning to go back next years!!!
