About the property

2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, Sleeps 9

If you're looking for an efficiency with extra bedrooms, and access to a pool, hot tub, downtown, and ski lift, this 2-bedroom/2-bath unit at Viking Lodge is the ticket.

Bedding: queen, queen, twin sofa-sleeper and bunk bed, queen sofa-sleeper

When you step into this condo, you're in an entry room with many functions. There is a loveseat with pull-out twin bed, a wall-mounted flat-screen TV (HDMI-port and cable), CD/cassette/radio, and built-in twin bunk bed (top bunk is short). To the right, the stairs go to the bedrooms. Ahead and off to the left in a recess is the stack washer/dryer, and a small vanity area. The door for the bathroom with shower-tub combo and toilet is next to the vanity.

Continue walking through, and you'll be in the sitting room, with a compact kitchen. The sofa with queen pull-out bed and two easy chairs are on one side of the bay window, and dinette with 4 chairs on the other. On the wall between is a 32-inch flatscreen HDMI TV with Cable, and DVD player. And under that is an electric fireplace for ambiance. The kitchen area has a full-size refrigerator, a complete but skinny 4-burner range and oven, dishwasher, and microwave. A toaster, coffee-maker, and crockpot complete the selection of appliances.

Upstairs are two bedrooms, each with a queen bed and vaulted ceilings. One bedroom has a 26-inch flatscreen TV, and the other has a traditional 19-inch TV. Between them is the 2nd full bathroom with a shower-tub combo. In the large landing area, there is a desk, making every space useful.

This condo has wireless internet and a private washer and dryer. The view from the bay window looks over the San Miguel River and toward the ski mountain. Outside the entrance is a small ski rack with a chain that could be locked if you bring a padlock.

The complex has a year-round swimming pool and common outdoor hot tub. Two charcoal pedestal grills are in the grassy area next to the pool and river trail, for residents' use. There is parking in the private lot. The common laundry room has new coin-operated washers and dryers. No pets allowed for renters, per HOA rules.

Great besides parking

  • 5 of 5

The place itself had everything that we needed. It was clean and up to date. Very spacious. You can tell there have been recent updates made to unit. There were plenty of places to sleep! Also tons of extra pillows and blankets. Plenty of cooking supplies as well. The unit is close to everything in town. Only complaint was parking. The room only comes with one parking permit (which is pretty customary. No big deal). 2 of the days that we were there we had to find other parking from 9-5 due to removal of snow from the roof. It was a bit of a pain moving our vehicles around so much. Otherwise great and would use again!

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review of Viking Lodge 319. We agree, it is a very well-appointed condo, and we are thrilled that you enjoyed it. In terms of the parking, we certainly understand that frustration, and hope that you don't have to deal with the snow removal on your next visit. Please let us know when you are ready to return to Telluride, and we will get you right back into Viking!

Needs some TLC

  • 2 of 5

The unit is in a great location, close to everything. I was however lacking in many things, The shower heads in both bathrooms produced very little water (enough? yes). Both eating and cooking utensils were severely lacking. There was one roll of paper towels and no cleaner like 409, or windex. The carpet is both old and dirty. If the owners would do a bit to upgrade and give some TLC to the unit and prospective renters this would be just fine.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review of Viking Lodge #319. This condo is a great location and one of the best value properties in Telluride. We will ask the homeowner to replace the shower heads in the off-season so thank you for the information. We do not provide cleaner in the unit with paper towels. Some of the carpet was replaced with different flooring last off-season and there is a plan to replace more of it soon with other upgrades in the kitchen and living area soon! Thank you and come back and visit again to see what changes the owner makes!
