Just remodeled in April 2015! Sunflower Casita Northwest welcomes you with cleanliness, comfort and Southwest decor. Everywhere can be seen and appreciated the thoughtfulness and attention put to details that delight guests. This is the perfect place to stay and come-and-go from for your visit to wonderful Santa Fe! Enter through French doors to discover tile and rugs, handsome furnishings and soft-toned walls. Whether you arrive to the light-filled daylight interior or evening mood lamplight, your visit gets off to the right start here where everything is just right. Sleepy or just want a little siesta? The master bedroom has a king bed made up with quality linens, roomy closets and view through French doors to the patio. Now to freshen up? A sparkling bright bathroom is ready for a hot shower and provides the all-necessary large mirrors, wide sink, hairdryer, plenty of nice towels and cupboards for your personal items. Maybe you plan to tuck away some groceries or fix a drink, coffee, snack or meal? The kitchen is fully equipped with full-size refrigerator, flat-top 4-burner stove/oven, microwave, coffeemaker, toaster, pots and pans, knives and flatware, dishes and mugs and ... yes, lots of wine glasses. The island counter seats up to 4. A desk and free Wifi make it easy to stay connected as needed. But sooner or later, you'll settle into the living room, enjoying the fine leather queen pullout couch for cocktails, conversation, reading, movies on the large flat-screen TV, or the pleasing winter activity of just staring into dancing flames, enjoying the scent of pinon in the woodburning fireplace or in summer, cooling off stretched out for a siesta with the central A/C.

Return guests? Let us know how you like our personalized remodel! We are interested in making our place your favorite to come to again and again.

About David & JoAnn Carlson

Correspondence and phonecalls for Sunflower Casita Northwest/VRBO #646300 are handled by former owner Victoria Rogers (2007-2012) (see below for more about the current owners). As a local resident for 35 years and multi-facceted professional, Victoria enjoys assisting guests with their reservation experience and providing information about Santa Fe In April 2011, co-authored a book published by Sunstone Press about the casita's area, 'Santa Fe's Historic Neighborhood', with details about the history and artwork depicting the architecture. Take advantage of Victoria as a resource to enrich your trip to Santa Fe!

David & JoAnn Carlson purchased this condo in 2012

Why David & JoAnn Carlson chose Santa Fe

Owners Dave and JoAnn Carlson (2012) looked all over Santa Fe before settling on purchasing this wonderful casita in the best location for walking to downtown and other favorite destinations. It's exactly what they had been dreaming of for a place to enjoy themselves on frequent trips to New Mexico, and they are delighted to be sharing their new find and personal remodel with you as a vacation rental! They have entrusted former-owner Victoria to assist you with your reservation, answering all your questions and letting you know what to expect.

What makes this condo unique

Where to begin? Just being here and 'hanging out' is so goooood!!! Then there's walking 5 minutes into town on a mountain-style cool Summer's eve or when winter's magical snowflakes are falling. Life is at its absolute best spontaneously stopping into a cafe for delicious New Mexican cuisine (red OR green chile - both yum-yum-yum!) or coffee or a drink. Returning to snuggle up in the delightful living room in front of the kiva fireplace while fragrant pinon is burning - mmmm. Or to relax on the patio or to listen to the soothing quiet during siesta or at bedtime. And always, not having to get parking when going to a nearby museum, restaurant, bookstore, church, performance or shopping (or the P.O. or Convention Center), all just a hop-and-a-skip away!

Casita NW

  • 5 of 5

I thoroughly enjoyed my 6 week stay at Casita NW. It is a great location - very close to plaza and very walk-able to both Canyon Road galleries and Railyard District as well. The kitchen and amenities were great and the unit was very quiet. I took a little weekend trip to Durango, CO and stayed in a motel. I couldn't wait to get back to the Casita NW unit even though I did enjoy Durango. The motel just couldn't compare with the Casita NW unit.

Great location!

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our short stay at SE Casita very much. Great location--quiet street within walking distance to plaza and good restaurants. Roomy, comfortable and very relaxing for the two of us. Although we didn't do much cooking, kitchen has top grade, new appliances and ample space. Dishes & utensils adequate but on the negative side, not even a salt & pepper shaker! All in all, a great rental.

Wonderful Santa Fe Rental

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved staying at the Sunflower Casita. It is in a great location and easy walking distance to many downtown attractions. We were very happy to find a great place we could stay at with our 2 dogs. Our only complain was a lack of grass/dirt, both within the fenced in Casita and the surrounding neighborhood. Our country dogs were reluctant to do their business on concrete. We were happy to find hiking trails and other pet friendly activities within minutes of the Casita. Otherwise we found the Casita very comfortable and absolutely loved fires in the kiva after a long day exploring the area.

THE IDEAL PLACE FOR US IN SANTA FE!

  • 5 of 5

WE LOVED THE SUNFLOWER CASITAS. WE WERE LOOKING FOR A PET FRIENDLY PLACE FOR OUR BLIND DOG AND ALSO CENTRALLY LOCATED. THE HOME HAD ALL THE AMMENITIES ONE WOULD NEED AND I WISHED WE COULD HAVE MOVED RIGHT IN!

IT IS BEAUTIFULLY FURNISHED AND WE LIKED JUST HANGING OUT THERE WHEN THE WEATHER WOULD GET TOO HOT TO WALK AROUND THE TOWN.

ALL SITES ARE LOCATED WITHNIN WALKING AND THE HOME IS IN A VERY NICE SECTION OF TOWN WHERE WE FELT SAFE. WE WOULD DEFINATELY CONSIDER AGAIN!
