Beachfront Charm and Relaxation
Casa Nido del Gallo is a very comfortable rental home with creative, funky touches - we loved the dining nook chandelier! Most impressively and importantly, the infinity edge pool overlooking the ocean served as a daily relaxing spot before dinner! Fun conversations, cocktails and snacks and of course, that magnificent view! It became a ritual we are still missing!
The house is in good repair and very clean. Beds are very comfortable and since two of the three face east, you can watch the sun rise, practically from your pillow. That too became a ritual - getting up to watch the sunrise.
There was beautiful and interesting wildlife to watch too - baby sea turtles, iguanas, various birds, including pelicans.
Equally important, the house is very well located - only a five minute drive to the town center or a 10 minute drive to Chedraui, the local supermarket/superstore. We highly recommend renting a large golf cart that has a storage shelf in the back for groceries, dive gear, etc.
We loved our stay there and long to return for another week as relaxing as this one was! Thanks to Mundaca Realty for all they did to make sure the week lived up to our expectations!
Thank you so much for your detailed review Clifford! We loved it when our guest enjoys the house as much as we do!
Remember repetitive guests always get a better deal. So please keep us in mind for your next visit!
Quaint little place not far from all the action of down town!
Everything was as described and Anna was wonderful to work with with a small item that needed attention. The pool was PERFECT after a long day at the beach. The only suggestion I could have is to add two more lounge chairs at the pool area as usually there are 4 or more renting. We cannot wait to be back!
We loved our stay at this house. Layout of the home is perfect as everyone has their own space and bathroom. The outdoor area was perfect and you get a great sunrise view from the comfort of your home. Outdoor bathroom was a plus and used often. There were no complaints with the house and the management staff was great to work with! My only recommendation is if they could provide an extra blanket in the bedrooms, i get cold and the air blows directly on you (which my husband loved).
Location of house is perfect and we will definitely rent again. Highly recommended:)
Beautiful House and Amazing View
The house was absolutely beautiful and had an amazing view, with literally every amenity you could need while staying in Isla Mujeres. The management staff - Yazmin and Natascha - were extremely responsive and welcoming before and during our stay. However, there are a couple of issues I'd like to point out, mainly for the management folks to look into for future guests. The neighbor to the north of the house (from the front, it's the neighbor on the left) would randomly use the restroom off the back of his house onto the beach below. When we were in the pool with our kids, this really wasn't an enjoyable thing to see. The same neighbor has a dog that he lets run off-leash onto the beach area as well. My kids enjoyed wandering down to the water to look for coral and shells, however on at least two occasions this neighbor let the dog out when my kids were on the beach, and the dog would jump up on, bite and scratch my boys so much that they had to run away from him and scramble back up to the house. Eventually we just stopped allowing them to venture down to the water. We love dogs and are total animal people; however, this dog was very aggressive and mean-spirited. And last, there were ALOT of random noises (pops, scraping, things falling) that we would hear from the downstairs of the house in the middle of the night - almost always between 1-3am - as we were sleeping upstairs. Noises loud enough to wake all of us up. It could have been the ocean wind moving things on the patio, or something else, however it kept all of us from getting a solid night's sleep for the majority of our stay. Again, it is truly a beautiful house, very well-maintained and central to pretty much everything on the island; I think maybe it just wasn't the best place for our family to stay this time in Isla.
The views are amazing House was amazing. Only thing I would recommend is new mattresses soon as they were hard to sleep on. Had everything we needed. We were there as a memorial trip. To celebrate the life of someone special who loved Isla and we had been there many times. Thank you for allowing us to share your home. Came back to snow flurries in Nashville! That made us want to turn around and come back!
Great stay, perfect location.
The house was great, plenty of room to stretch out and watch the waves crash on the rocks. The property management team was great. Big shout out to Anna, she deserves a raise.
