About the property

700 Sq Ft Cottage 1 Bedroom 1 Bath Cottage. Walking Or Biking Distance To Beach

This newly constructed 700 sq. ft. cottage is located on Anastasia Island in historic St. Augustine, Fl. The Middleton Guest Cottage is a charming bungalow nestled among live oaks on a unique piece of property just steps from the 1874 St. Augustine Lighthouse.

The Middleton Guest Cottage was rebuilt on the original location of a beach cottage owned by the Middleton family since the early 1900's. The current owners have lovingly restored the circa 1904 main house on the property and reconstructed the cottage to accommodate seasonal renters.

The interior is cottage style and consists of wood floors and bead board walls .

This little gem, known as 'Lighthouse Park', is where the cottage is located on Anastasia Island. It is an eclectic neighborhood offering an abundance of amenities. Tennis courts, lighthouse and museum, Salt Run for fishing, boating, kayaking and paddle boarding. Directly across from the lighthouse is an oak tree canopied area perfect for an afternoon picnic. The Anastasia State Park is in walking or biking distance for a day at the beach.

Just over the Bridge of Lions is historic downtown St. Augustine. The oldest city in the country. Here you can find art galleries, restaurants, shops, museums, beautiful Flagler College and scenic tours.

Whether you are interested in history or just want to take it all in and relax, this vacationer's paradise has everything you desire in close proximity to the Middleton Guest Cottage.

Come visit us and see for yourself the beauty and charm of old St. Augustine and Anastasia Island.

We look forward to meeting you and hope to make your stay a memorable one.

Why Nancy Ferreira chose Lighthouse Park

We first came to St. Augustine in 1994 when our son attended Flagler College. We were so impressed with the area that we moved here in 2004. Building and restoration have always been a part of our lives. We feel fortunate to have been able to purchase this unique piece of property owned by 3 generations of the Middleton family and restored it to its original beach cottage style.

What makes this cottage unique

This unique piece of property lies in the shadow of the lighthouse and is situated on a quiet dead end street lined with beautiful hundred year old live oaks . We love living where all the amenities of this island are within walking or biking distance and still only 10 minutes to downtown St. Augustine. At Christmas time downtown is lit up like a fairyland with all the holiday glitz. The tree lighting ceremony , Christmas parade, Holly Jolly trolley, boat parade and much more. 2015 brings us to the 450th birthday of St. Augustine which promises to be a year filled with celebration!

Perfect choice!

  • 5 of 5

We had the luxury of spending a week at Middleton Cottage the beginning of February and could not have been happier with our choice! Rest assured that everything in every review below is true, and then some! The cottage is lovely and stocked with everything needed. The deck and grounds are beautiful and quiet, owners as nice and helpful as could possibly be. Close to St. Augustine, but you wouldn’t even have to know the city was there if you didn’t want to! Plenty to do, also great to just do nothing and enjoy the cottage. We hated to leave ...

Exceedingly charming little cottage in the perfect location.

  • 5 of 5

Appreciate the attention to detail in this charming little cottage by the Salt Run and the Anastasia Lighthouse. The grounds are lush, well maintained and feature garden art. The cottage is decorated in period specific quaint accessories and is well stocked with everything one would need for a short stay. It is spotless and obviously lovingly cared for. The location is perfect; close enough to downtown but far enough away to avoid some of the crowds and traffic. Our thanks to our hosts for providing us an experience to remember.

A great place to spend some quiet time

  • 5 of 5

This little yellow cottage is the perfect place for a quiet escape. It has everything you could need for a relaxing time, and St. Augustine's old world charm and great food is a short trip across the Bridge of Lions. We have spent several days enjoying our peace before the storm of family at Thanksgiving in this great spot and have left ready to tackle the holiday head-on! Our stay at Nancy's cottage has become part of our Thanksgiving tradition.

Live like a local!

A perfect little cottage to feel totally at home. Such attention to detail and perfectly kept too. When I walked into this cottage, I immediately started to think about how I could redecorate my house. Loved this place. Oh, also the location is close to everything.
